Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Cayo District

Our visit to belize couldn’t have been more perfect due to kaylyyns place. We were blown away on how beautiful it was. It was the perfect location for us about 30 mins away from belmopan and 5 mins to spanish lookouts restaurants and market. The location was well taken care and breath taking with natural beauty. The home is well taken care of and most importantly to us CLEAN. Everything you can imagine is at your finger tips. She even had purified water for us upon arrival and was refilled a week later. She was super responsive and accommodating. If you’re looking to rent in this area don’t look any further you won’t be disappointed. We will 100% be recommending her home to our family and friends as we were only about 20 mins away from our family in belize.

The views from the back veranda were epic, like something out of a movie! The house is private and peaceful with plenty of space to spread out. It was great to have the pool to cool off after a day out exploring. Morning coffee while birdwatching was our favorite, there was a pair of toucans that frequented. The true gem of this house is Consuelo, her kindness and hospitality left such a positive impression. Consuelo cooked us an amazing Belizean meal served right out on the veranda. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! Dalena and Stephen were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The notebook guide they created is full of good recommendations and useful information; they were always available to help schedule the day in a way that made sense. The banana muffins in the mornings were a lovely and delicious touch! Especially having them in the outdoor patio surrounded by plants and cute visiting birds, a truly relaxing way to start the day. Our chats with Dalena and Stephen added very positively to our visit. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time here. The kitchen had everything we needed to make multiple meals. We enjoyed the grill and the hammock and waking up to the sounds of birds in all the beautiful trees. It’s clear they take pride in the property. It’s beautifully landscaped, the bathrooms and kitchens had fresh-cut flowers, and the towels and bedding were so cozy. Having laundry available was also a plus!

We stayed here while visiting family for a few days and the location was perfect. It was very easy to get to the main highway yet a very peaceful location. The morning sunrise were the best and the nice afternoon breeze made the place stay cool through the day. The house is super cute! The deck is huge and really nice to just sit back and relax. Isaiah and Debbie were super responsive. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

Sue's place is amazing. Unbelievably clean, beautifully maintained, and Sue is super friendly and responsive. From here I walked safely and easily to Cahal Pech, the green iguana breeding facility, the Ajaw cacao tour, the Maya Walk tour start point, MANY restaurants, the open air market. A few doors uphill is a nice little convenience store for toiletries, simple groceries, meds, snacks, cold drinks, alcohol. Very reasonable prices. I will be returning here with my family!! It is seriously the perfect place. PS - Understand the country. It may be a more noisy neighborhood than you are accustom to (or not if you are from New York City or similar). I sleep lightly, and was totally fine with earplugs. In Belize not everyone has running water & electricity - even in San Ignacio. So, the AC and whole place is luxury. Even the nice hotel I stayed in had freeze-dried coffee in the lobby and restaurant (none in room), but Sue's amazing kitchen had a coffee maker!! I was very excited.

Once I arrived at Alma’s beautiful luxurious home I felt at home the moment I walked inside ,stunning kitchen equipped with all you need ,beautiful bedrooms with private baths clean linens so clean and spotless the home is perfect . Oh and beautiful yard with automatic gate very safe environment we absolutely love it that 2 night changed to 5 nights will 100% recommend Alma’s beautiful relaxing home away from

This stay was even more beautiful than the photos! The property was exactly as advertised, and very, very clean, with every amenity you would need for a comfortable stay. Leda and Laura were our hosts, and were extremely helpful in recommending tours and transportation. It was a little far from town (a 25-ish minute walk down a main road), but taxis are easy to flag down and affordable. Would highly recommend this property!!

nice place for extended stay

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Massiss! Larry was traveling at the time but he was always available. Amini was an incredible host and always very helpful and friendly (hire her as your private chef while there!). The location is perfect. Very peaceful and surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature; and only a short drive to San Ignacio. Will definitely recommend!

Thank you Nicole for making our stay at your cozy apartment worthwhile. It reminded me a lot about my home country, it was so peaceful, away from the city where I came from. I had a relaxed time with my family. Nicole was very responsive, we made home made food cause they were nearby stores to get all you need. There was constant light, the washing machine was very useful, she had all of the things you’d need. I also utilize the internet to do some work on my laptop, we watched Netflix and YouTube to relax. She gave us contacts of taxi guys who were very helpful as well. Thanks Nicole, we would come again to Belize and do more sightseeing.

Nice place to stay and even better location! Hosts were kind and proactively communicative. Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure and water temperature were great. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area and needing a good night's sleep!!

Loved our stay! It was perfect for a digital nomad during the week and close to everything off work hours. Outdoor still working progress but inside was beyond expected! From fast wifi connection to fantastic Keurig/froth maker, to the much needed washer/dryer, and glorious AC! We were able to walk everywhere…our tours, San Ignacio Market, Catholic church, restaurants, and even Cahal Pech!Communication was also prompt, especially connecting us to our friendly transfer driver from/to Ladyville, Mr. Manzanero. But what makes the rental/hosts stand out from the rest was their provision of basic groceries upon arrival…bread, snacks, bananas, milk, eggs, juice, butter, all utilized! Thank you for your kindness and hosting us your rental!

Great central place in San Ignacio for getting to other activities like the Mayan Ruins, natural swimming areas or the Butterfly ranch. Not walkable to town necessarily (busy roads, lotta hills) but there’s a grocery store close. The space is setup well for couples or friends. We loved the balcony and the hammock. If you are sensitive to heat, the main living room/kitchen during the warmer months is very hot. Be prepared to lounge in the bedrooms instead (AC is great in those) or get out and do things! Carlos, the host, is responsive, nice and helpful. Thanks for having us.

Luciana’s was a great place to stay. There were only three of us so we had plenty of room, but this could easily fit a party of six. We did so much during the day, I wish we could enjoy the patio a little more, but it was very nice to know that we would come home after long day of touring to a nice, comfortable, and cool place. The AC in each room works great. Nice and clean. Maria‘s communication beforehand was very helpful, and we had a very easy check in. This place is probably about five minutes driving from the center of town. But if you wanted to walk or didn’t have a car, I bet it would be a pretty easy walk as well. Upon arrival, there was a jug of water in the fridge for us. That was very helpful after a long day of traveling. We then went to a nearby supermarket for water and snacks. Easy instructions everywhere to use all appliances. WiFi is fast. Would definitely stay again should my travels bring me back to San Ignacio!

Zero regrets here, if you want somewhere clean, serene, classy and cozy then look no further!!! 10/10!!!
