Juliet was the perfect host—she greeted us and helped us get settled in, provided tons of local advice (restaurants, things to do, how and when to do them) including connecting us with trusted guides who turned out to be excellent. The breakfasts delivered to our porch every morning to accommodate our schedule were both amazingly delicious and super convenient, and the cabin itself was charming and located just close enough to town (5 minute drive) for convenience but just far enough for peace and quiet among the trees. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! I can't say enough great things about San Lorenzo Farms. The cottages are quaint and comfy. We stayed in one with a little kitchenette that was stocked with everything you would need. The view from our cottage was amazing 🤩. The sunset could be seen sitting on a bench on a hilltop of an old covered Mayan Homesite. From here you can even see El Castillo of Xunatunich! Morning was magical, being able to see the misty rolling hillsides of the jungle. There's roosters crowing, as this bnb is located on a working farm that's been in the family for over 100 years! We even saw some toucans and some parrotlets. Dominic is an amazingly friendly host and a joy to get to know. We spoke about a bazillion interesting topics. Breakfast at the bnb was super delicious and very hearty. It definitely set us up for the rest of our days travels. Both my husband and I wished we could have stayed longer at this fabulous bnb!

Dominic and Rebecca are exceptional hosts and I highly recommend staying at the Nabitunich farm. This is a stay for people looking for an authentic experience outside of the “tourist zones” of Belize —accommodations are rustic but comfortable. I most enjoyed speaking to the other guests and hosts—we met several other adventurous spirits that had interesting stories and perspectives. The proximity and river path to Xunantunich was also super cool!

This stay was truly once in a lifetime and life changing. I felt at home and the staff and family were so kind and made our stay so special. We wanted to stay forever! Equal parts luxurious and adventurous. We found SO much peace here. The property is dreamlike, the food was top tier and the tours were fun and highly educational, and the guides had a genuine passion for the history itself. This is one of the best places I have visited in Latin America. It is slightly higher cost, but the atmosphere, accommodations, food, staff, across the board everything was awesome. We could not have been happier for our family to spend a day. Really could have easily spent two or three or used it as a base of travel for the region for a couple days after that.

I stayed at the cabin innear Monkey Falls, and I absolutely loved every moment of it. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect escape, and the experience felt both authentic and homey. One of the biggest highlights was the food—made fresh daily by the ladies in the kitchen. Every meal was delicious, and it saved me a lot of money since I didn't need to eat out. Their cooking alone makes the stay worthwhile! They also had a taxi available whenever I wanted to go out. It was always on time, and the cost was very affordable—such a great convenience to have. The combination of great food, reliable transport, and a cozy cabin in a beautiful location made this one of my favorite stays. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-cared-for place to stay near Monkey Falls.

We had a wonderful stay at The Cabins. The hosts were extremely friendly, prompt to reply to questions, and accommodating. Rose is an excellent cook and the grounds are beautiful. We would absolutely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful jungle getaway. If you are arriving later in the day, consider connecting with the hosts in advance for meal options on site. Having your own vehicle is suggested as you are not within walking distance to nearby towns/villages.

Very beautiful place! The staff is exceptionally hospitable. There’s also a chef on sight and her food is amazing. She was also so willing to make me authentic meals. Everyone went above in beyond in every way. Truly a great place to go if you’re a nature lover or want some peace. Recommend!
