Rural Dorset Retreat

Couldn't begin to do justice here with how stunning the house and location are. The accessible bedroom and bathroom are the best we've ever had for my husband's complex needs (he has MND and is in a wheelchair). Victoria is very kind and responsive, a superb host. We were left a really great welcome pack, too! Would love to return.
A grassy area is depicted featuring a climbing frame with a rope structure, accompanied by a wooden bench positioned nearby. Surrounding trees and a wooden fence enhance the natural setting. The scene is bathed in natural light, suggesting a pleasant day outdoors.

I can’t recommend this lovely cottage enough. It’s incredible pretty, the drive to the cottage and the village and views are to die for. The cottage itself was exactly as described, immaculate, so cosy and homely and great value for money. Lovely, informative, friendly hosts and we would definitely stay again!!!!

Casterbridge, a single story barn conversion

We had a lovely long weekend stay at this beautiful accommodation. It was clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. Christine and Paul, the owners, were very welcoming. We were greeted with a lovely hamper that included bread, milk, and delicious marmalade! Everything we needed was provided. It's a very quiet location, which made for a peaceful stay. We can definitely recommend it. We also explored the surrounding areas in Dorset, and our son enjoyed playing swing ball with the boys staying next door.

Cottage in Bower Hinton

Wow! What more can I say! This was such a delightful place and an absolute gem to find. Loved the decor, everything was so tastefully decorated and was absolutely right up our street; the cute private garden was one of our favourite spots. There's nothing negative to say, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Laura for hosting us, we would definitely stay here again and hopefully for a bit longer as it's such a good base for exploring whatever your taste might be. We were doing a nature trip this time round but hopefully next time we will get to see more of the fantastic coasts. ❤️

The Old Forge

SueRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week at The Old Forge. It’s just as seen in the photos if not better, particularly when taking in the beautiful surrounding countryside of the little hamlet it’s nestled in. Has all the facilities you need..in fact more than in the description as there was a hairdryer and TV, …not that I watched it. It was far more relaxing sitting on the private patio watching the birds. So many varieties, including a nuthatch and a woodpecker. Judy, the host, was welcoming and generous. Along with fresh eggs, milk and Dorset biscuits, Judy brought over flowers and baked a delicious lemon drizzle cake. I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend a stay.

The Hideaway

I can’t recommend highly enough, the Hideaway in Cerne Abbas. Apartment was perfect for our needs and spotlessly clean. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Sam was so helpful too, always quick to respond and on hand if you needed anything or any info. Cerne Abbas is idyllic, so much more than just the Cerne Giant & so central for Dorset’s other attractions.
