Vacation rentals with breakfast in Cat Ba

The host family was very kind and helpful. our room was perfect for us and breakfast was delicious! We also received help with bookings for travel and adventures! walkable for town exploring too! Definitely recommend!

I spent two peaceful days at Lan Homestay, exactly what I needed for a quiet moment on my own, away from the hustle and bustle of Cat Ba town. Access is great: a speedboat (between 500k and 700k VND) offers a nice ride in the bay, followed by a small golf cart to the village, already an adventure in itself. Even if there is a bit of traffic with tourists cycling or hiking in the park, the place remains quiet. The setting is beautiful, soothing. The family is adorable, the food delicious (special mention to the coconuts), and the garden is maintained with a lot of love, you can feel it. The hike not far is a little tough but the view is worth every drop of sweat. I loved this little cocoon, I was like a queen. Big up to the little brother, super attentive and helpful, a gem 🤗

First, this was not our first HaLong Bay cruise. But it was by far the best. From the arrangement of transportation from Hanoi to the greeting at the pier by Loi to the food (!!!), it was an amazing 3 days. Our captain and his assistant Tuan went far out of their way to make the trip as interesting, comfortable and beautiful as possible. They prepared simple but incredible seafood dishes three times a day…grilled oysters, squid, clams steamed in wine (!!!!) and a delicious sea bass we procured from a fish farm floating on the bay. There was plenty of beer and soft drinks on board, and we were fully in control of our itinerary. Start to finish, a professional, warm and overwhelmingly friendly experience. I wouldn’t do another cruise with anyone else. Period.

Gecko was very accommodating and helpful. He has organized our day tour to Halong Bay and the bus tickets for the onward journey to Hanoi. Worked great. We would recommend the place at any time.

The hosts were very friendly and helped us very well with our trip. The food tasted good and everything was well arranged. The room is a bit simple and the mattress is very hard. There is air conditioning available and you can lie outside in a hammock.

The best place to hide from the noise of the Cat Ba city. The appartment is in the end of a narrow street with little terrace and chairs, jungle around, at night we listened the chirps ot the bugs and other animals, a little felt like in the woods :) Our host was sooo friendly and kind, gave us good advices, help. She did everything to make our stay perfect and memorable. She speaks very good English! We arrived early, but we could left our luggage there until check-in, our host carried them into our house. This appartment is a pearl, we loved the peace and quiet. She offered us program options and gave useful advices, we also rented a scooter from her. If you like nature around and tranqility, this is your place. We recommend it!

Had a lovely couple of nights at Joystay. We were welcomed with hot tea and a snug hut with a piping hot shower (much needed during the colder months!) They helped us hire a scooter and plan a day around the national park. Delicious breakfast each morning and Binh’s Motorcycle Bar a couple of minutes down the road was perfect for an evening drink and bite to eat. Would definitely stay again if visiting Cat Ba. Nice to be away from the main town, amongst the beautiful scenery. Thank you for accommodating!

We had such an amazing stay at the Blue Lagoon. The location is set back from the main road and very peaceful. Hai is an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host - it was my partner’s birthday and he made us cocktails on the house and helped us to order takeaway to eat at the Airbnb (we loved the setting so much we wanted to have birthday dinner in)! When it rained overnight he left an umbrella outside our cabin for us and when we wanted coffee the morning we were leaving he made them for us on the house as we had already paid. The coffee is incredible and Hai gave us a tutorial of how to make it ourselves when we get round to buying our own filter. The dog and cats are gorgeous and so friendly, we miss them already. The only issue we had was with the sewage smell from the bathroom, which other people have previously commented on. Despite this we thoroughly recommend staying here!
