Vacation rentals with breakfast in Cat Ba

The host family was very kind and helpful. our room was perfect for us and breakfast was delicious! We also received help with bookings for travel and adventures! walkable for town exploring too! Definitely recommend!

Great value and location. Perfect accommodation for a couple of nights. Walkable to center/bus stops. Tours could be arranged at good price.

J’ai passé deux jours paisibles à Lan Homestay, exactement ce qu’il me fallait pour un moment calme en solo, loin du tumulte de Cat Ba ville. L’accès est super : un speedboat (entre 500k et 700k VND) offre une belle virée dans la baie, suivi d’une petite voiturette de golf jusqu’au village, déjà une aventure en soi. Même s’il y a un peu de passage avec les touristes à vélo ou en rando dans le parc, l’endroit reste tranquille. Le cadre est magnifique, apaisant. La famille est adorable, la nourriture délicieuse (mention spéciale aux noix de coco ), et le jardin est entretenu avec beaucoup d’amour, ça se sent. La rando pas loin est un peu costaud mais la vue vaut chaque goutte de sueur. J’ai adoré ce petit cocon, j’étais like a queen. Big up au petit frère, super attentionné et serviable, une perle 🤗

First, this was not our first HaLong Bay cruise. But it was by far the best. From the arrangement of transportation from Hanoi to the greeting at the pier by Loi to the food (!!!), it was an amazing 3 days. Our captain and his assistant Tuan went far out of their way to make the trip as interesting, comfortable and beautiful as possible. They prepared simple but incredible seafood dishes three times a day…grilled oysters, squid, clams steamed in wine (!!!!) and a delicious sea bass we procured from a fish farm floating on the bay. There was plenty of beer and soft drinks on board, and we were fully in control of our itinerary. Start to finish, a professional, warm and overwhelmingly friendly experience. I wouldn’t do another cruise with anyone else. Period.

Gecko war sehr entgegenkommend und hilfsbereit. Er hat unsere Tagestour in die Halong Bucht und die Busticketts für die Weiterfahrt nach Hanoi organisiert. Hat super funktioniert. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

De hosts waren zeer vriendelijk en hebben ons heel goed geholpen met onze reis. Het eten smaakte goed en alles was goed geregeld. De kamer is wat eenvoudig en het matras is erg hard. Er is wel airco aanwezig en je kunt buiten in een hangmat liggen.

The best place to hide from the noise of the Cat Ba city. The appartment is in the end of a narrow street with little terrace and chairs, jungle around, at night we listened the chirps ot the bugs and other animals, a little felt like in the woods :) Our host was sooo friendly and kind, gave us good advices, help. She did everything to make our stay perfect and memorable. She speaks very good English! We arrived early, but we could left our luggage there until check-in, our host carried them into our house. This appartment is a pearl, we loved the peace and quiet. She offered us program options and gave useful advices, we also rented a scooter from her. If you like nature around and tranqility, this is your place. We recommend it!

Had a lovely couple of nights at Joystay. We were welcomed with hot tea and a snug hut with a piping hot shower (much needed during the colder months!) They helped us hire a scooter and plan a day around the national park. Delicious breakfast each morning and Binh’s Motorcycle Bar a couple of minutes down the road was perfect for an evening drink and bite to eat. Would definitely stay again if visiting Cat Ba. Nice to be away from the main town, amongst the beautiful scenery. Thank you for accommodating!

We had such an amazing stay at the Blue Lagoon. The location is set back from the main road and very peaceful. Hai is an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host - it was my partner’s birthday and he made us cocktails on the house and helped us to order takeaway to eat at the Airbnb (we loved the setting so much we wanted to have birthday dinner in)! When it rained overnight he left an umbrella outside our cabin for us and when we wanted coffee the morning we were leaving he made them for us on the house as we had already paid. The coffee is incredible and Hai gave us a tutorial of how to make it ourselves when we get round to buying our own filter. The dog and cats are gorgeous and so friendly, we miss them already. The only issue we had was with the sewage smell from the bathroom, which other people have previously commented on. Despite this we thoroughly recommend staying here!
