Cottage vacation rentals in Castlemaine

Nice little cottage in the bush. Freezing cold when we arrived (no surprise, it's winter), but the fire eventually warmed the whole house up.

A little oasis perfectly situated next to the Botanic Gardens! Heaps of space for a couple, plus a beautiful veranda out the back. The spa was a treat! Would stay again.

Lady Marmalade has quickly become a favourite for our annual girls trip. It’s cozy, close to the shops and a beautiful house. We look forward to our visit every year. James is a great host and very friendly and responsive.

Had the most amazing stay! This little cottage is full of charm and the perfect place to escape to for rest and relaxation. The property is lovely and the cottage itself is cozy and well-equiped with everything you need (and more). The bath on the veranda was totally divine! Hosts also have a great collection of records and CDs which gave the whole stay its own 5-star soundtrack. My only regret not staying longer!

A beautiful cottage with lots of extra, thoughtful touches. Good parking which is great because you don't need to drive around as everything you need is a comfortable walking distance away. Fabulous location, an excellent courtyard garden and very safe for our dog. It was cold outside but cosy and warm inside with great heating and a lovely gas fire. A wonderful place for a mini-break in Bendigo.

My husband and I wanted a relaxing getaway for our anniversary, and Poet’s Lodge was absolutely perfect. The space is beautiful, complete with an indoor fireplace, and the location couldn’t have been better—within walking distance to Cliffy’s Emporium, The Hot Chocolate Company, and the charming Vincent St. We also loved having halal dining options at Taj Mahal Restaurant and the convenience of Coles nearby. Our only regret was staying just one night! We can’t wait to return. Thank you, Angeline & Richard, for creating such a thoughtfully curated retreat ❤️

As we know, reviews always help us make decisions when it comes to where we should stay on AirBnb. The reviews said it was great and they were right! Ursula’s place was fantastic. My husband and I needed a quiet getaway to just sit by a fire and have a relaxing spa. This is what drew us in with this place and it did not disappoint! Be mindful that food delivery is very minimal with only 2-3 places that do it. The pizza place Red Door Pizza from Buninyong was amazing, FYI. The place was private, quiet and right in front of a huge field. A great place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet! Highly recommend.

Thank you Neal for a lovely 2 night stay. The accommodation was very cozy with the fire going on arrival and a good supply of wood to keep it going. Newstead is a quiet town where you can go walking along the Loddon River and the house is in a very quiet and private setting. We really enjoyed the little extras such as chocolate and biscuits etc. I would definitely recommend staying here as it is only a short drive to Maldon and other beautiful towns.

We had a great stay at Daylesford Country Retreats. The accommodation was just as described and as per the photos. The beautiful scenery around the property made our stay so peaceful. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for having us!

Great place especially with the fur babies and they were welcomed! Stephanie was a great communicator and always on hand if you needed something ! Very private regardless of the number of cottages on site! We will be back ❤️

Great little cabin, short drive from townships of Hepburn and Dayelsford. Emma was excellent with communication.

We absolutely loved our stay. It is a beautiful cottage with such a warm and homey feel to it. We had the fire going both nights and the electric blankets in the bed kept us toasty! We ate breakfast on the front deck and listened to the local birds. Kangaroos in the backyard! Be aware there is no wifi and phone service in the area is very poor. This ended up being a blessing for us as we were more present with each other. We enjoyed some of the board games and dvd's on offer! Check in process was a little frustrating as, though we booked through AirBnb, the cottage is actually managed by DayGet which required more of a process to book and check in. Worth it though. We loved our stay so much.

We loved our getaway to Hepburn Springs! The house was cozy, we loved the wood fire, and the amenities were clean and nice! Everything was explained well and we had no issues with anything on our stay!

Ellen and Kevin’s place is really gorgeous and full of character. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The wood fire is so atmospheric and cosy. They natural surroundings are so relaxing. I highly recommend!

Lovely house, great atmosphere with books to read and the fire ready to go. Even spices in the kitchen. Comfortable beds with crisp sheets. Would happily recommend.

We had a lovely weekend at apple cottage. Great place to relax and retreat from the city.

Andrew’s place really had it all. Superb spot for two couples enjoying a weekend away. I loved that the fireplace was set up ready to go and the dining table was set. So many little amenities, cooking supplies, and crockery, it really felt like you were at home. We loved the layout of the cabin being a central shared space with the two bedrooms (each with their own bathrooms!!) off the main area. Made the time away just that much more easy. Thanks!!

Mistwood is just off the main street but feels a world away given it’s down a steep drive and surrounded on by natural bush land. The house is very comfortably, cozy and homely with everything you need for a long weekend. My only issue was the weather was so bad all weekend I didn’t get to use the outdoor bath! Nicole was an excellent host too.

This was a lovely little cottage. Heaters were on and the place was lovely and warm. The kids loved the toys that were supplied. Perfect spot and great value for money, won’t look else where next time would just book here again. Thanks again

We had a lovely stay. The place was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. The fireplace added such a cozy touch. One of the highlights was definitely being able to get up close to the donkeys, such a special experience, Lion the cat was the friendliest cat we’ve ever met! Overall, we were really happy with our stay, and my son absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend!

Karen’s place was great, we felt right at home. Flexible sleeping options, parking out the front, walkable to town centre, a gorgeous garden to look out on, we loved it!

Ari and Chanelle‘s cottage is absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful airbnbs we’ve stayed at. They thought of literally everything and our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. We were so sad to leave and would definitely come back!
