The best little get away! This cabin was perfect for our family and our golden doodle! There was so much room! We absolutely LOVED the hot tub, stream, and fit pit at the end of the day after near by Grandfather Mt & Tweetsie Railroad. The cabin was clean, well stocked, it felt like we were right at home. Jade was a GREAT host and we will definitely be back!

This home is beautiful and met our family’s needs while we were attending a family wedding on the area. The views are stunning and the home is furnished nicely. Richard is a very responsive host and provided us with things to do on the area. I have no complaints and would definitely stay in this home again if we were in the area.

A beautiful, private and cozy place ! The furnishings and decor were very modern and stylish - comfy beds ! Many other features - hot tub, porch swing, outdoor dining areas, fire pit, outdoor game area, beautifully equipped kitchen with great variety of snacks etc. We all loved our stay !! And being from Arizona we really enjoyed the trees and scenery and cooler weather - but the rain kept us from enjoying being outdoors. Very high recommendation for this property!!

Eagles peak was a comfortable place to stay near the Sugar Hollow wedding that we came to attend. The living room was great, kitchen was full of pans, etc with coffee maker, ice maker, lots of storage. We appreciated the basket of cooking spices. Several of our party enjoyed the hot tub and the extensive deck was great! Lots of places to sit - sun, shade, rocking chair, picnic table. We saw a doe and baby deer from the deck, lots of birds on the wire and flitting around the bushes. A couple people went to the nearby winery and mercantile, they were able to pick up a few necessities there without driving far. We had dinner in Boone one evening, not too far, (the other dinners were at the wedding venue). Julie was quick to respond to questions and had excellent suggestions of places to visit and eat. It was a wonderful family gathering.

If you are looking a laid back, relaxing, romantic, picture perfect weekend then this is the place for you. The cabin and amenities are perfect. The owners were super nice. We enjoyed every minute of our trip and cannot wait to come back. The pictures don’t do the outdoor area of the cabin justice. It is a must see and stay!!

The host was incredibly helpful. I had a few questions during our stay, and each time I called, the host was quick to respond and provided clear, friendly assistance. It's rare to find such excellent customer service! The location was peaceful and safe, providing the ideal environment for relaxation and family time. We loved the cozy atmosphere and all the amenities that made the cabin feel like a true home away from home. Wonderful place…so peaceful, beautiful backyard hot tub fire pit and very pleasant cozy interior. Stocked with coffee pods, soap, cooking oil and spices. Clean and lovely. Will def stay again!

Beautiful cabin! Our family loved the wrap around porch with stunning views, perfect with a morning cup of coffee! The house was the perfect size and the third floor loft was awesome. Laura was very communicative and we appreciated the clear instructions for check in. The private dock and easy water access was an added bonus! 10/10 would definitely be back!

The house was outstandingly beautiful! Neighborhood was quiet and exclusive. The porch had a beautiful view. The grill was a nice feature to have. We enjoyed our stay. House was clean. It was nice to have an option to use a canoe. It rained most of our visit so we did not get the chance to take it out. The walk to the lake is not far but it is all uphill on the way back.

Michael's cabin is adorable. The river is right off the back deck. My husband caught a fish! Michael was extremely prompt at answering questions. my dogs loved playing outside and the Appalachian Trail is within walking distance from the cabin. The local neighborhood dog, Jake was very friendly and came with us on all of our walks. Michael left a bottle of wine, candy, and bottled water for us - much appreciated! The cabin had all we needed and the bed was very comfortable :) We've already recommended the cabin to friends.

We have rented homes on Watauga 15+ times and this so far has been our favorite. It’s very obvious how well the home and outside is cared for. The patio, furniture, and dock are all so clean. I have found that a lot of places lack that part. It was so nice to be able to paddleboard and kayak without paying extra. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and plan to return for future visits if it’s available!

The house was comfortable, quiet, and in an absolutely beautiful spot on the lake. It was easy to find and offered peace and tranquility for a family vacation. It is in a somewhat remote location (which is what we were looking for!) so be prepared to drive and take daytrips to other activities of you don't plan to stay on the property for your entire stay. Janelle offers plenty of suggestions on local places to visit. Definitely recommend this lake house for a water front, relaxing vacation with your people.

Very cozy cabin in a secluded and quiet place, grocery stores are just 15-20 minutes away. Fresh air quality is just mind blowing, you just want to take it with you. The cabin has everything you would need - modern kitchen with all the appliances, cozy bedrooms, big porch, and well maintained flat lawn where you can play a volleyball with your friends. Definitely, I would recommend for those seeking quite place with a soul.

Christie and Donaven were super responsive and accommodating - they also checked in to see if we needed anything during our stay. We loved the space! Cute and cozy. The bedroom area was quiet and dark at night. We also appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals. We hope to visit again soon!

Darren was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in cabin 3, and it was brand new and clean. Family stayed at a home on the lake and we suggested that they stay at Darren’s place next time down. Can’t beat the price or amenities. Definitely suggest! Just make sure you pull up directions in town since there’s little service, but once there, the wifi is great!

Stepping into Teresa’s place is like entering a boutique hotel – everything is spotlessly clean and thoughtfully arranged. The presence of friendly dogs and cats tending to wayward chickens, a pig, and a pond brimming with fish creates a heartwarming atmosphere reminiscent of the Zuckerman farm in Charlotte’s Web. The stream meandering through the property, with the covered bridge offering a serene meditation point, makes this a perfect sanctuary to recharge, especially for those of us who need a break from the urban hustle. Pro tip: Pay close attention to Teresa’s clear directions to ensure a smooth arrival.

Fun place, roads to get to the property are a little tight but to be expected for a mountain cabin. Views were awesome.

Had a great time visiting for the Highland Games over the weekend! the property is beautiful, beds were cozy and the home was well maintained and clean. We hope to stay there again next year!

Starlit Retreat was impeccably clean and even more beautiful inside than pictured. The contemporary home had an open and inviting layout. It was stocked with everything one could need and more. Malek & Kara were receptive hosts quickly responding to any inquiries. As enchanting as the stars were the fireflies dancing in the surrounding fields!

Absolutely loved our time at the cabin. Super private, peaceful, clean and cozy for our 2 small kids my husband and myself. Would highly recommend!

This was the best experience of my life! An incredible place, extremely clean and organized, it had everything we needed and more, the view was breathtaking, a cozy and welcoming place and very charming. The hosts were simply wonderful, they responded quickly, very attentive and friendly, they even gave us some tips for exploring the property and speaking of which, this cabin is in a beautiful and gated community, you can't miss visiting the clubhouse, as it has activities for your group to do and has a spectacular view from the top of the mountain. The common area of ​​the house was very special, we spent a wonderful time as a family, we had breakfast together at an incredible table with views, we watched movies together on an extremely comfortable and reclining sofa. And I can't forget to mention the hot baths with a perfect shower. If you are still in doubt about staying at this place, I can say for sure: stop looking, this will be the best place you will ever stay.

Awesome stay! The cabin is full of fun, you really don’t have to leave. Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of linens. I especially loved the fans upstairs since it is warmer. Do let it be noted that the drive up the mountain to the cabin is very scary and I would recommend arriving during the day. Other than that, a great stay.
