Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Carmel Valley

Truly enjoyed our stay and experience at Dave & Lee's place. Incredibly responsive and friendly hosts. I was in town for the Big Sur marathon and received a TON of useful info from them. The house was perfect for our family with two small children (1 and 3 years old). The bed and pillows in primary were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. The house rules and checkout procedures were reasonable and easy. All in all it was a great Airbnb experience, and I recommend staying here on your next visit to the area. Thanks again!

We had a great stay! Five of us coworkers shared the house, and it accommodated us perfectly. Everyone was comfortable, we all slept well, and there was plenty of space for getting ready in the mornings. The home is charming with a cute beach-themed decor. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and Janiece provided clear, detailed instructions that made check-in and the stay smooth. We would definitely stay here again!

What an absolutely stellar and extremely comfortable home. My entire family greatly enjoyed the hospitality, well appointed kitchen, fantastic outdoor space and the built in bunkbeds worked perfectly for our teens. Incredible location and visiting the nearby Farmer's Market was a definite highlight (as well as the beaches of course!). We'd love to return sometime in the future! Thank you!

Pleasant stay, nicely decorated and slept my family of 5 adults in comfort. Dog friendly as advertised but you would not know it because there was no smell or hair on our clothes. Walking distance to restaurants grocery store and coffee shop. This was my first time to rent a home form airbnb and I'd do it again based on this stay.

This was a lovely house in the arena area and I got to say it was really comfortable, well furnished, and it kind of pretty much everything that my family and I needed for a one night's day. I really thought it was a great value as well given the hotels in the area and a special note that I really loved the mattresses. Good job.

Parisa was a great host. The house was exactly what we were looking for - great location, reasonable price, a short drive to the aquarium and wherever else we wanted to go. Recommend it!

I couldn't be happier with our stay at Michele’s Le Bijou at Toujours Maison! We booked it after reading the great Airbnb reviews and am so glad we found it. I wanted to stay at a cute and nice place in Carmel, and had some difficulty finding a place that fit our needs. WE LOVED Michele’s place, and can see why it gets so many compliments! Our stay was a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday, and he also loved it just as much as I did. More than anything, the hospitality was outstanding - every detail of the experience felt thoughtful and personalized. From the heated towel rack and heated floors to the cozy board games and beautiful design touches, everything felt curated to made our stay feel extra special. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in Carmel from a great host who makes the whole experience feel effortless and so worth it!

Amazing apartment! Just a quick drive to downtown Monterey! The kitchen was very well stocked. We loved the projector and Pac-man machine! Very nice touches!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We appreciated that it is independently owned, including the community activism to give back. The location was great, we were able to walk to the beach for dinner; and a short drive to the college and other areas.

We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s beautiful oceanfront home! The views from the patio, and living room were absolutely stunning—we even spotted seal pups right from the patio. The location is perfect: easy walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row, the beach, and a scenic walking/bike path. The home was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—laundry soap, extra towels, high-quality bedding, and comfortable, homey furniture. Jane made the check-in process seamless with clear instructions and even left us a list of local recommendations and binoculars to enjoy the views. Although Jane lives upstairs, the unit feels very private. She was responsive and welcoming, while giving us plenty of space. This was one of the most comfortable and well-prepared rentals we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful short getaway at Sue’s place! The condo is just steps from the beach, pool, and jacuzzi. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was relaxing, and the ocean breeze was very refreshing. It was exactly what we needed to reset and recharge. We had such a relaxing time! So close to the beach, loved being able to walk out the door and be at the ocean. We could hear the waves at night. Sunsets were beautiful. The condo was perfect for us, had everything we needed! Great place to stay!

We had an amazing stay at Ahnalisa’s beautiful home in Monterey! The place was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The views were absolutely stunning — waking up to them every morning was a treat. It’s also in a perfect location: peaceful, yet just a short and easy walk to everything we wanted to explore. Ahnalisa was a wonderful host and made sure everything was just right. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Monterey!

The beach was amazing, especially being able to walk out the door and only take a few steps to get there. The snack shop is limited but had some staples so it was definitely nice to bring some easy meals and we cooked most of them there. My had some basics there that made cooking easier (salt, oil, etc). Our two teenagers enjoyed having their own full bed. Stay here - great deal for a clean space.

We had a great time at Seascape. The home was right by the beach and playground, also central location to lots of places by Santa Cruz and Monterey. The home was spacious for three adults, a toddler and baby. It was also very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

The view from this property was extraordinary with amazing sunsets from the deck each night. The location was perfect to visit Santa Cruz one day and Pinnacles National Park the next. The host was very responsive. We’ll definitely save this to our wishlist.
