The Little House Peaceful & self-contained

Located in the centre of the lovely village of Kilburn on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, the Little House is peaceful, cosy and self-contained, tucked away from the general hustle and bustle of the village with a safe garden for dogs and children. The Forresters Arms, serving local ales and meals, is a mere 20m across the square, it is best to reserve a table. The Mouseman Furniture Centre is just around the corner and the White Horse of Kilburn is a good walk up the hill.

The Owlery at Mill Farm

Recently converted, the Owlery is the perfect self-catered rural escape for couples. With its double height vaulted ceiling and full height double aspect windows the open plan kitchen living diner offers a light and airy space to unwind and enjoy the view of surrounding fields. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed, Egyptian cotton sheets and En-Suite shower room. The Bathroom offers complimentary Bramley products and cotton bathrobes. Both areas are underfloor heated. There is a private garden.

This single level super stylish living space is flooded with natural light coming through the West facing huge glass walls. There is a stunning azure blue glass walk in shower room with freestanding rain shower with room for 2. Bamboo wooden flooring with underfloor heating through out, a huge sycamore tree dinning table, plush blue velvet sofa and two swivel chairs. A wall mounted smart TV. With a fridge and separate freezer you can keep your drinks cool and cook on a hob, oven or air fryer.

The Sanctuary, Pet friendly

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Beautiful village residence but only 4 miles from stunning historic York with easy public transport access. Bring your pet too, they have indoor and outdoor space and wonderful country walks in the local area. Enjoy our sunroom, a cosy space to eat in Summer or Autumn. Our local pub is on the doorstep serving excellent home cooked meals or a take away Sunday lunch. With 2 parking spaces and secure lock up lock up for mountain bikes.

The Garden Room

Two renovated old buildings have been converted into a quiet, one bedroom, self contained Garden room. In the centre of Slingsby village, you are well placed to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of Yorkshire. A modern kitchen with fridge, microwave and cooker is equipped for preparing delicious meals. A wall mounted television with Netflix is available. The sleeping area hosts a double bed with wall hanging for clothes, adjacent to which is a bright shower room with heated towel rail.

Beautiful rural shepherds hut with hot tub

This shepherds hut is in a gorgeous rural location. The hut has electricity and hot water, it will be a cosy and warm place to stay all year round. There is a recently added hot tub, to relax in and soak up the gorgeous view. A fire pit and an outdoor table, plus cooking facilities in the hut. It is in a romantic and peaceful location. We are close to Castle Howard, Yorkshire Lavender and many other wonderful places to visit. Fabulous for keen walkers and popular area for cyclists.

The Cobbler's Cottage

Nestled in the scenic North Yorkshire village of Sessay, this charming former cobbler's cottage offers a spacious retreat. Inside, you'll find a wood-burning stove, TV, Blu-ray player, and a modern kitchen equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, Nespresso coffee maker, and a washing machine. Opened in 2018, dog-friendly Kilburn Chicken Cottage has been hosting guests from all over the world. With one of the highest Airbnb ratings in the area, parents and children alike have loved coming to stay to look after their own flock of hens. This 3 bedroom cottage is situated in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Kilburn, with fast EV charging in Thirsk nearby. You're spoilt for choice when it comes to great views, great food and entertaining hens.

The Salt House Cottage, Pilmoor

Guests have a small private grassed area with a table and chairs. The cottage has dishwasher, washing machine and wood burning stove, all logs included. We do not accept pets. In summer, when the swing seat is out, guests have access to the main garden. The cottage has no internet connection but depending on your network, a good 3G or 4G signal can be accessed. We do not accept bookings from people who smoke or vape. Check in from 2pm, check out 10am.

The Den at Husthwaite Gate

The Den is cosy and comfortable and offers great accommodation for up to 6 guests (adults and children). It is a cleverly and sympathetically converted building on a site which was originally a sidings for the local railway station (closed in 1960's). Materials were up-cycled giving a special timber interior but benefits from up to date fittings and technology It is on a private and tranquil site in open countryside with great views and lovely walks.

Mill House Annex, Oldstead

This bolthole has been lovingly refurbished to a high standard throughout, providing guests with a comfortable and cosy home-from-home. There is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed, a modern bathroom fitted with underfloor heating and a sperate bath and shower. The living room has a cosy log fire and large dining table. The kitchen is well appointed and kitted out to meet all your culinary needs. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.
