Cavan House - luxury 5 star rated farmhouse

KimRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were new to this quiet part of Northern Ireland and it was a rare find to discover the Mourne Mountains, beaches and small villages close by. Jill’s home was the perfect escape for our family when we wanted to relax, cook, play games and watch movies. The hot tub was a bonus which we enjoyed despite the wet and cold rainy days. Would love to come back as we felt right at home
A modern barn-style building is featured, painted in light hues with green doors and trim. A pathway leads to the entrance, surrounded by neatly maintained grass. Partially visible on the right is a traditional house with large windows, contributing to the inviting atmosphere.

Annette was a fabulous host, very understanding when we got delayed as we were hiking Slieve Donard, super friendly and made us feel right at home! The apartment itself was wonderful, so clean and tidy! The hot tub was a brilliant touch as it was nice to relax after climbing a mountain all day. 100% would love to stay again next time we’re in the county!

We had a great time at Toni’s place which provided great accommodation for our needs in a great location providing a good selection of pubs and food outlets and easy access to Kilbroney park - the views from Kodak Corner over Carlingford were spectacular . Our grandchildren loved the play area and garden. Rostrevor provided a good base to visit Newcastle and relatives in the surrounding area. Weather was fab adding to a great family break.

The Old Bank, a stunning restoration...

DianaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Our family had a fantastic 5-night stay at "The Bank" in Portaferry! The location couldn’t have been better – right in the heart of the town. What made our stay truly special was the heritage charm of the property. So many details still reflect its history as an old bank, and that unique character really added to the experience. We especially loved the cosy fireplace, which made those cold, dark winter evenings feel warm and inviting. Plus, everything in Portaferry was just a short walk away, making it super convenient to explore the area. Having a Eurospar right across the street was such a bonus too! We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would recommend "The Bank" to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay.

Mourne Heights

Perfect for our family at Easter. Lots of walks a very short distance away and not far from town centre. Lovely private, enclosed garden where our kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt! Friendly and welcoming hosts, very clean accommodation with a helpful welcome pack. The cosy, beautiful setting very much made up for the damp weather. A little hidden gem in the Mournes, would not hesitate to book again.

Cosy Lakeside Cottage @ Muckno Lodge Self Catering

JacquelineRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Fiona is absolutely lovely so very welcoming helpful and gave us our privacy. The lodge is wonderful everything you could want and even home baked scones on our arrival! It is so peaceful and in the middle of nowhere (just what we wanted) but be warned the smaller country roads can be very uncomfortable to drive on! The roads however are very quiet in comparison to England so you may not come across another car coming towards you! We felt so very much at home too! It’s an absolute jewel as self catering accommodation, I don’t believe you could find a better place for the money. It’s a 10 from us and can’t thank Fiona and family enough!
