Carlingford places to stay

We had a great stay. Quiet surroundings, very clean property with all we needed. Clear instructions and a very welcoming and helpful host. Local amenities were excellent and plenty to do in the vicinity with my teenage children Would certainly recommend and consider booking again

If you are looking for peace, relaxation and quietness then this is the place. Although there are restaurants, shops and pubs within walking distance. The area is stunning and great to explore. The villa is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need. We were greeted by the hostesses daughter Maureen, such a lovely young lady. I'm just sorry we didn't book for longer. Don't hesitate in booking the villa, you won't regret it.

Had such a nice and relaxing little getaway! Perfect place for a couples night away or even for a girls cosy night away! So happy with the stay and overall experience, everything was perfect the cottage was so clean and had everything you could’ve needed , both annemaire & Eddie were the most welcoming and had explained everything and were so helpful ! Would highly recommend!

communication before and during our trip was excellent. Our host went above and beyond for us..not only was homemade sodabread, Jam and the basic necessities available we arrived to Easter buns too. one of our children had a yearning for mango pepsi which he'd tasted before in NI and several trips and phonecalls by our host were made to try find him a can! we arrived to a cosy fire lit by him and he offered many occasions to light it and got the snooker room ready for us which was a great hit with the kids. lovely space outside to play and even enjoy the Easter egg hunt. our sleeping arrangements were great...privacy for parents and plenty of space to sleep for 4 kids if the sofa bed is used. all said they slept well in comfortable beds. I would recommend staying here ..great base for Strangford lough...Newtownards and Newcastle for climbing Slieve Donard. thankyou hosts!

Spent a lovely weekend at Darraghs, the views were amazing and the facilities were fantastic. There was 10 of us and everyone agreed it was one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The house was homely and close to Tullymore Forest Park and Castlewellen. We hope to return again next year.

My daughters and myself had booked the house to stay for a few days. Annette and her husband were there to meet us and we're so friendly. They explained everything to me about the house. When we went inside, I discovered that Annette had left milk in the fridge teabags and fresh made scones and jam for us. I thought this was a lovely surprise and made us feel welcome. They also had an information folder with things to do or see and recommendations for where to eat. The day we were leaving Annette called to say goodbye to us and said that we didn't have to rush as she know with having a small child it can take time to get them ready. I would stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay in the lodge. It was so cosy and beautifully done up. Gorgeous peaceful surroundings in the forest - a real switch off. Our kids loved the treehouses, padel court and trampoline. Jayne was a great host! We would love to come back again some time.

We really enjoyed our stay in Hilltop Hideaway. It was like our own private paradise. Life is better when you're relaxing in a hot tub. The place was spotless. Everything was explained really well and labeled. Colleen was very helpful and was a responsive host whenever I messaged her.

3rd time staying, love this appartment as it in the middle of the main street beside everything. The appartment is very clean, beds very cosy . And it has everything you need in it . Would highly recommend this place
