Lovely spacious, warm, clean tasteful house in a small Cornish village. Lots of extras provided and a real home from home. The village has a bus service, a pub, a cafe and shops selling local meat, veg and fish. The small store is open Sundays. Supermarkets are a short drive away. A great location to explore mid Cornwall with the rugged beauty of the Roseland, the vibrancy and beaches of Falmouth, and the lush vegetation of the Helford with gardens to visit all within easy reach. Mylor Harbour is a water sports centre and there are local walks from the village including a lovely gently stroll down the creek. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Deborah and Martin’s home was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly attentive and kind, making us feel completely welcome and at ease. The house itself was beautiful and cozy, with everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Their thoughtfulness and hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. Pauline is really lovely lady, very welcoming and so kind and thoughtful. She made our stay a pleasure and was very accommodating. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast provided each morning was an added bonus and very nice touch too! Pauline provided lots of information and tips about visiting surrounding areas and tourist attractions as well as good local restaurants. We would definitely stay again when we next return to Cornwall.

We had a fantastic stay at The Engine House. The place is beautifully converted—full of character, but with all the modern comforts you’d want. It was spotless when we arrived, and the beds were super comfy. The location is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a weekend getaway. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended if you’re after somewhere a bit different with plenty of charm!
