We thought Sara’s place was very attractive, comfortable, and well -located. The outside spaces were nicely landscaped and comfortable, and the cottage had nice artwork and was roomy and comfortable. Check-in was easy and friendly. We would definitely recommend.

Everything about this Airbnb was awesome. I really loved the design of the room and how hospitable the entry way and shared spaces feel around the property. There is an outside shared balcony area where you can watch a beautiful sunset or a 5 minute stroll to the beach. I will definitely stay here again when im in the area. Thank you!

Make sure you get the foot massage! I was in the historic home, and liked the decor. If I ever return I would love to stay in the river view rooms in the attached place. There was a nice sitting room, dining room with access to coffee/tea, and fruit and sparkling water. The outside had a patio facing the river, a cute fountain with two living turtles. When I checked in, i was encouraged to book ahead a nature safari on a pontoon boat that took folks way out on the slough to see sea otters and harbor seals. I am REALLY glad I booked it, and they gave me a small discount for staying at the inn. Ask to see the owners pig. So cute!!!!

My stay at the Captains Inn was absolutely the most relaxing stay I have had in a very long time. I stayed in the Admiral’s Wife room. I took a bath in the clawfoot tub while watching a movie on my cell phone and it was so perfect. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a nice accent, and the view was priceless. Book this room if you are looking for a relaxing private stay in a very historic inn.

This place is even better than described. The pictures show the view from the window, but it is really breathtaking in person. The giant picture windows are amazing. there are also many extra happy little extras that show they care. I don't want to give too many spoilers, but little things like half and half for coffee in the morning and bathrobes in the armoire are nice touches. perfect place for a weekend getaway.

Our stay was excellent. The location is perfect for a few days at the beach or boardwalk and the room was very comfortable. The star of the stay, though, was the morning breakfast. The coffee cake was absolutely the best we had ever had. It was so good. It was homemade and I can’t recommend enough staying here just for that!

We enjoyed this place and would visit again. Moss Landing is a great area to stay as it’s much quieter and more peaceful than Monterey. I did feel like the check in/check out times were confusing (is it 3 or 4, is it 10 or 11) and there was a slight unpleasant smell in our room (suspect a dead mouse in the walls or something?) but hopefully that will pass. Overall we had a great time.

We came for whale watching and bird watching. The Captain’s Inn was perfect for both. We had a nice view of the Salinas River where water birds and sea otters could be seen. 10 minute walk to boat tours of Moss Landing. 15 minutes to the Moss Landing State Beach. Quiet and private.

Wonderful little hidden gem in Los Gatos. Has old town charm. Clean rooms. All wood/tile flooring so no dirty carpets. Very affordable given location and what you get. Walls are a bit thin (probably due to the age of the hotel) so neighbors can be kind of noisy even at just conversational tones. WiFi was great 90%of the time. Dropped once in a while but not enough to be a problem. Highly recommend if you are visiting anywhere close to the area. Would make an excellent base for exploring the area.
