Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Capital District, New York

We were 6 adults and 4 young kids, and everyone had a fantastic time at Twin Peaks! The house is up in the mountains a bit, in a clearing surrounded by forest, overlooking the valley below, and both the house and property have a great feel. The views - especially from the great room - are reason enough stay here, but the house compliments the views nicely. Well laid out, nice flow, two working fireplaces, comfy rugs/carpets throughout, cool decor, comfortable beds, big finished basement for the kids. We hung out in every room, watched a few movies, cooked good meals, used the outdoor grill, hiked in the state recreation area behind the house, enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys, had fires in the outdoor fire pit, and had a great day of sledding right in front of the house. We also loved skiing at Plattekill Mountain, which is only 10 minutes away. I highly recommend Twin Peaks!

We had an amazing stay at Wanderlust in Windham for our friend’s 50th birthday, with three families (6 adults, 5 kids). The house was perfectly designed for groups, giving the kids plenty of space to enjoy while the adults had their own areas to relax. The ski-in/ski-out access made getting to the mountain effortless, and after long days on the slopes, the hot tub and speakeasy were a huge hit! The house had everything we needed to unwind, celebrate, and make lasting memories. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful—when we encountered a tripped breaker and needed to troubleshoot the hot tub, they provided clear instructions within minutes, making the whole experience stress-free. Overall, this was a fantastic stay that allowed us to focus on enjoying our time together without worrying about the details. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spacious, well-appointed, and conveniently located getaway in Windham!

Andrey's place was better than the pictures describe. I really enjoyed the heated floors and cozy warm atmosphere. The place was minutes away from Hunter mountain which is perfect for families with children who would like to take breaks at the home after hitting the slopes. Andrey was very responsive when I needed an answer to a few questions. Great experience overall!

Where do I begin with how incredible this place is for spending time with loved ones! This house sits beautifully on top of a hill, with complete privacy away from the hustle and bustle. The scenic views from the patio are breathtaking, complemented by a very well-maintained garden and beautiful landscaping. There are lovely areas for peaceful walks throughout the property. This place looks even better in person – beautifully decorated with gorgeous and comfortable furniture throughout. Everyone had the most restful sleep, and even the bathroom chairs were a wonderful touch. Michael and Francis were extremely communicative and accommodating. The fully equipped kitchen is also a huge plus. We would absolutely come back!

Welcoming, tidy and clean home. Fully functional and amenable to families with young children. A perfect winter getaway spot given its proximity to Otis Ridge. Extremely easy to ski in and ski out. Mary Kay is a lovely host- extremely responsive, helpful and flexible.

We had two families stay at Ali’s place over the weekend. The communication was really good and responsive, directions were spot on. We did not have any issues getting in. The place was as described, it’s quiet, easy to find and all amenities in place. The EV charger provided ample juice for the two Teslas. You will need an adapter for the Tesla charger. There are grocery stores and many bars nearby too.

Lovely one night stay! Perfect location on the mountain, super clean and Zaighum was very helpful and accommodating with an early check in. Would highly recommend!

The best vacation place for me and my girlfriend in a beautiful location. Everything is in walking distance be it convince stores to restaurants it was all there. Jay's home was fantastic and provided all the necessities we could have hoped for. The views and hiking were superb. I would highly recommend to anyone getting away from it all. Absolutely wonderful. The host was responsive and helped answer all of our questions. Check in was easy same with check out and really everything was perfect -Josh and Alexa Thank you so much

Great place to stay all in all. Christopher could work on a few things to make the stay easier for guests but this is a great spot and we loved the quiet and the privacy.

Perfect location for skiing Gore Mountain. 4 min drive. Great Adirondack feel. Ewa checked in a few times via text. Wanting to be sure we were warm enough in the very cold temps. We were toasty. We invited her to stop in one eve to say hello and see our German Shepard. Shes a big lover of these dogs. She stopped in with some treats for him and say hello. Unit is very clean and spacious. No problems, would recommend for skiing.

We had a great time staying at Joann’s place! We came here with a group of friends from college and it was a perfect spot to hang out, play board games and a not far from some great hikes (would highly recommend Kaaterskill Falls Laurel House trail). The hot tub is great and the backyard is an awesome place to hang out. Joann was super communicative and responsive and went above and beyond to help with any issues as they arose. Would highly recommend her to anyone!

What a wonderful respite! Casey's home is perfect this time of year, with gorgeous local hiking, restaurants a short drive away, and breathtaking views right outside of the kitchen window! The area was very quiet and peaceful, the property has a creek in the back yard that is private and serene, a wonderful place to meditate and get grounded. The kitchen is recently renovated and has beautiful fixtures, it was actually very fun to cook here! I look forward to coming back with a larger group of loved ones, I know we'll have a wonderful time!

Great house in walking distance of Hunter Mountain.

We had a great stay at the Hollywood Bungalow. House was described accurately and had so many thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome. Diana met us upon arrival and walked us around the property and the house. Such a great host! She had generously provided snacks, treats and gave a thorough overview for our stay. We were primarily focused on skiing at Jiminy Peak which was a short 20 minute drive. We also brought our 5 year-old rescue who had the best vacation of her life. She was able to use the fenced-in backyard to run around off leash and even meet a new friend when Jackson's dog visited. Diana even shoveled walking paths in the yard throughout our stay so we could get around in the high snow. The Screening Room is awesome and provided hours of entertainment. Quiet street and picturesque location. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Eva’s! Would highly recommend! Everything was clean and the house was very cozy. Great location too!

Mario is an exceptional host. His warmth, responsiveness, and communication were so welcome. The house is exactly as described and comfortable in every way. Mario also suggested local sites and restaurants and they were all worth it. Definitely coming back!

It was a nice quaint place. Everything you needed was there and the river was a short walk away.

This was our second stay at Stone's Camp. It was just as great as the first stay. It's very private, peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed hiking around the area and never had to leave the property in our car during our 4 night stay. The walk from the camp down the abandoned road to the washout is perfect. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash and exploring the woods and stream. It was especially nice for our 15 yro dog who is now unable to tackle larger hikes. Nights were spent enjoying a campfire by the babbling stream on rain free nights. Rainy nights were spent playing cards and games around the table indoors. If you are looking for something quiet, private and love to be outside and away from it all this is the place for you. If you have dogs it's the place for them as well. Thank you again, Chuck, for sharing your piece of paradise and thanks for accommodating our daughter and her boyfriend at the last minute who surprised us with a visit from the West Coast. We hope to be back!

We loved this place from the moment we walked in the door. The decorations are so cute and the VIEW! Definitely has a wow factor and is exactly as described. We loved how dog friendly it was, with little details like a bone jar, dishes, leash and flashlight, and dog wipes at the front door. And the bedrooms were perfect with soft mattresses and ample closet space. It also smelled phenomenal in there with lots of decorative candles and lotions. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, and found that the location was super close to lots of restaurants for eating out. And it was very close to lots of hiking trails and the dog park. We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to come back again!

Stayed for a long weekend and it was lovely. This place is exactly what you expect it to be when you arrive! The amenities kept us entertained & the views were amazing.

We rented out the cabin for the Memorial Day weekend and we had a blast. Maria is a kind and gracious host and helped us feel right at home. The cabin was very comfortable and the fireplace was a nice added touch. In addition, the speaker set up was excellent and we were able to stream music throughout our trip. Hoping to be back soon!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Mike & Anna's cabin for a long weekend with the intention of spending the weekend inside, enjoying a fire, and disconnecting from work and technology. It was incredible, such a comfortable, beautiful, tranquil, and cozy home. We're already planning a chance to go back. Genuinely exactly what we wanted for a cozy cabin with a fire.

Perfect place for the family. Close to gore mountain for skiing, quiet area on a dead end road. Place was really clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Simple check in and check out instructions. Loved it!
