Farmstay vacation rentals in Capital District, New York

Julie's home is a great base for Catskills winter skiing. We were 4 adults/3 kids under 10 and there was plenty of space and sleeping options. Julie was SUPER responsive and took time to make sure our short stay was a pleasant experience. The home is well laid out with a large living room, plenty of comfortable seating and tons of games and books. Home was easy to find, we received 7 inches of snow the night we stayed and the roads were plowed early the next morning.

We enjoyed our quiet stay. We did a hike that was recommended in the guidebook and visited the used book store that was also recommended, but otherwise stayed in. Couches and beds were comfortable and we found everything that we needed in the kitchen.

Fantastic space for a large group. We had 10 people for a New Year’s Eve ski weekend, and this was the ideal spot for it. Hot tub was a great treat. Be warned - the floors are squeaky, so if you’re a light sleeper in a large group bring ear plugs.

Leslie’s cabin is lovely! Such a great place to stay while skiing at Gore. Supremely cozy, well outfitted, and easy to find. Make sure to book a hot tub experience!

Great local restaurant scene. Beautiful location and property.

Overall the place was very nice to stay at. Hosts/Property manager were EXCELLENT communicators (we had an issues and they had solutions within 30 minutes). Close to supermarket (right down the street), along with close to being downtown Saugerties, resturants and getting on the thruway. Would recommend for families.

Simply beautiful, charming and cozy stay. The waterfall was amazing, it was frozen but I think that made it even more beautiful, its a short hike to the fall and in my 2-day stay I went about 5 times. Even cold plunged in the fall! The wood stove is so toasty and they have an abundance of wood to last all winter. The kitches has literally everything you can think of and you can tell a food lover lives here. There's even binders with tons of recipes that seems to be made throughout decades, super cool. Overall great stay and just what we needed. Highly recommend!

Dan’s place is wonderful for a quiet, romantic getaway. We loved the deck and the big green space to walk our dog. The apartment was spotless and smelled clean. Dan was very responsive and helpful. My wife and I are hoping to come back someday!

Carrie and her family were absolutely wonderful! I felt comfortable and welcome while staying at their cabin. The view from the cabin porch is breathtaking. Carrie had given us a tour of the barns where we were able to meet her husband and children and all of their wonderful animals. We were introduced to all the barn dogs as well who were so friendly! If you are looking for a place to feel away from it all, while still being close to local towns. This is the place for you. Thank you Carrie and your family for making this stay feel like home. Absolutely loved staying here! It was such a great place and the property itself is great too! I brought my two dogs and they loved it too. There were a lot of hiking trails nearby as well. The place was clean, check in was easy. Jesse is really great at communicating and answering any questions we had. Overall a great place to stay! Would definitely come back!

We had a great time at Mark's place. From the beginning, Mark had quick responses and answered any and all questions quickly. Check in was super easy and the house matches the photos exactly. We were impressed by how spotless the house is, not a speck of dust. Thanks again, Mark!

Super spacious cabin! Woods-y charm, but comfortable and modern. Truly the most peaceful location in the catskills you could ask for. The best location for hiking in the area, all the most epic trails in the region are literally right down the road. I will definitely consider it again, next time I need a retreat from daily life

We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy tiny home! While the space was small, it was packed with thoughtful luxuries—like a heated bathroom floor and a heated towel rack, which made our mornings extra comfortable. One of our favorite parts was sitting around the fire pit in the evenings and grilling dinner together. The outdoor yellow couches were perfect for relaxing and spending quality time with the family. During our trip, we explored a nearby animal sanctuary and visited a bunch of charming coffee shops in the area, which added to the experience. Another big plus was having access to laundry on-site—super convenient for a longer stay. This place strikes the perfect balance between comfort, charm, and function. Highly recommend

We had a great time staying there. Everywhere was so clean. I had all the cooking utensil I needed. We stayed in and played around the field. We would love to be back again.

We had a great time at Rashmi’s place - the grounds are enormous and so well taken care of. We loved the fire pit and enjoyed cooking in the kitchen as well. Our doggie had a blast too! Thank you Rashmi!

Unbelievable. Mollys property is magical. The location is remote and peaceful, super clean and perfect to base yourself at for some hikes/nature/outdoorsy activities. We slept both nights with the doors open, and the sound of the river rushing was out of this world. The place is stocked with all the cooking utensils you could dream of, so if you fancy a night of a home cooked meal and an evening by the fire pit, you can Molly was super accommodating, friendly and provided us with great tips and suggestions for the area. 10/10 would highly recommend and I’d definitely stay again. I can not recommend it enough.

There were so many additional amenities that were not required but were provided, that helped the entire trip 10x more. Anything you could have forgotten, they had for guest. The animals were a big plus and I thought that I may have wanted to put the cat up when I first read but that part of this experience was one of most heart fulfilling and peaceful parts! The view from the hot tub is immaculate and the hosts were even better! They were so welcoming and made me feel so comfortable with the animals. Overall I’d give 100/10.

From the time of booking the hosts were great with communication. Check in went smoothly and the home comfortably fit our group. If visiting the area for NY Sheep and Wool this home is a continent location.

Incredible stay. The house is immaculate - beautifully decorated, furnished, and spacious (house had tons of holiday decorations, very cozy!!). This was one of the best stocked rentals I've stayed at - kitchen and bathrooms have everything you could possibly need. Accommodated 2 families very comfortably; beds were comfortable. Loved that the great room was separated from the rest of the bedrooms allowing the family to gather without disturbing napping babies. Lots of yard space, situated next to a picturesque creek. And excellent central location to Hudson, Catskill, and skiing. Host goes above and beyond - offered early check in, extremely responsive. Highly recommend!!

We loved John & Anne’s place. It was cozy, warm and perfect for our getaway. We appreciated the responsiveness, ease of communication and clear, easy to follow instructions. The fireplace, hot tub and all the extra touches with the local treats made our stay extra special. We will definitely be back!

This is an extraordinary spot. Course to Hudson, restaurants, etc, but this is an escape into another world. The farm is never ending and beautiful. The hosts live nearby but they only enhances the experience. Scott and Claudia are welcoming, interesting people with infectious enthusiasm and great stories. They’re almost as lovely as the horses and dogs!!! We will be back!

This was our family’s second stay at the farm - it remains a standout experience and property, and we hope we can come back.

The home was very attractive and comfortable. There is a great flow between the entry, living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, etc. We loved the decor and plants and special touches. And the access to outdoors was amazing. Such beautiful and fabulous views.
