Leslie's studio rental was very convenient for me, and it was quite lovely with attractive decorations. The studio is inside the house where Leslie and Lyle reside; it's a spacious room with its own keypad lock and has a small kitchen area with microwave, refrigerator, and most items you need for cooking and eating for a few days. The king bed was comfortable and ideal for online work. A little living area with chairs and coffee table was nice for watching YouTube on the large smart TV. The location of the house is fantastic--a few minute's walk to downtown Clayton and up the street from the St. Lawrence River. It's 7 miles from 1000 Islands Bridge leading to Canada and 11 miles from Alexandria Bay. Leslie responded to my messages and inquiries promptly and helpfully which was appreciated.

I cannot emphasize enough just how great our experience was at The Fig and Fox. Sarah took this property from the mid 1800s and updated it to be a most comfortable, clean, beautifully designed and welcoming apartment. The living and dining rooms are especially spacious and all rooms have large windows that overlook the main street or views of the St. Lawrence River. Beautiful artwork, furnishings, antiques, and area rugs fit perfectly with the dark walls and white trim providing a lovely aesthetic. Sarah was the perfect host asking early on about needs we had and providing for them with easy and highly responsive communication. Kind, welcoming and lovely she is one of the best hosts I have had the pleasure to work with. I look forward to returning. Don’t hesitate to request a reservation except when I want to return! The cottage was adorable and super clean. It was a wonderfully relaxing spot for the end of our vacation. Loved being able to walk into town for breakfast. Our host was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely come again.
