Wow!! We had an outstanding time at Dan’s cottage and were blown away by the place. It is very close to the water and has the perfect cottage feel while also being incredibly clean and cozy. The couch space was absolutely perfect for our large group to relax and chat or play games in the center area. The rooms, kitchen, and rooms were all lovely and fully set up. We were especially impressed by the amount of dishes/ tools the kitchen had that made all types of cooking so easy. Not to mention the very spacious fridge and additional bar fridge. The hot tub was lovely and we took advantage of the kayaks, paddle boats, and canoe. Dan was very responsive and any questions we had he happily helped with- though we didn’t have many since all instructions/ tips were thorough and clear. If you are looking for the perfect mix of luxury and all the activities and ambiance you could hope for in a cottage- this is the place!

What a gem! Don’t hesitate to book Magdalena’s little slice of heaven in the trees. The moment we opened the front door we felt right at home! Everything is absolutely perfect. The house is larger than it looks from the outside, with tons of space to share time or have some privacy. I brought my 16 year old for a few days to hike and relax and she LOVED having her own “wing” with the screened in porch outside her bedroom. Magdalena was so responsive and helpful, but there was absolutely nothing we needed. Check in was a breeze, the house was easy to navigate, and we loved every minute! The beds were SUPER cozy, and I was greeted by deer in the window in the morning sunrise. If you love to cook, the kitchen is fabulous with a great oven and well-equipped. We always go to Les Fougeres for a meal when we’re in town, and it’s just 5 minutes down the road. Make a reservation and check it out for a beautiful dinner! Comfortable place to stay for two people visiting Gatineau and Ottawa. Jean Claude was very friendly and responsive.

We were a masters xc ski team in for some races and the House and Host were amazing. The house was cozy; they had the fire going for our arrival and the kitchen was set up to cook for our large group. The host was very attentive to help us get to where we needed to go during the snow storm, digging us out every day. The house had a wonderful character about it and made us all feel comfortably at home. We will rent this place again for our next trip/race to the area.

Absolutely great experience all around! Was over the top clean, had everything and more an Air BNB should have! We’ve stayed at numerous places all over Canada and this was the most well equipped. We highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure.

Great stay! The location was perfect for our visit around Ottawa, close to everything we needed. The host was very communicative and made check-in/check-out easy. The space had everything we needed for a comfortable couple of nights.

Great stay for our family of 4. Amazing location and amenities. Our kids loved the basketball/table tennis room. The gym was great too. Staff were responsive to any requests we made.

Apartment located below the house, small but functional, close to Ottawa, I recommend for a short stop at the capital.

We had such a lovely time here! A sweet, cozy space in such a lovely town. We loved being right by the water and walking to cafes and restaurants! Sharon was very welcoming and responsive.

Highly recommend, spotless place, a plethora of shopping, including groceries, within walking distance; a very spacious two bedroom with a huge bathroom and open space kitchen/living with giant windows and a huge balcony. Kitchen has everything one could need to whip out a good meal, the host generously provided a supply of good coffee for the drip coffeemaker and a selection of teas as well, a super nice touch after a long drive. We will back.

The apartment is super hip and cute. A great space. Love the way it’s decorated and the record player was just too cool. The house manual is well put together, everything about the stay was clear and easy.

Sylvain was very responsive and was receptive to a shorter than usual stay for his comfy place. An excellent host, he ensured that the propane gas fireplace had the pilot light lit, so it was easy to ignite upon arrive and get the place toasty warm within an hour or so of our arrival. Thank you, Sylvain! His partner Caroline was also very helpful with clear entry instructions for our past 8PM arrival... Merci pour tout, Caroline et Sylvain!
