Beach house vacation rentals in Canterbury

Great place to stay out of the hustle & bustle of Whitstable but a gorgeous walk in along the beach / coast walk - flat and easy for all. Really enjoyed staying in this area - lovely houses and beach feels very private. Plus the house is 3 houses down from the sea and upstairs bedrooms have great seaview. Very sociable space - 4 couples stayed and we had so much room to cook, eat & sit and the garden is a bonus.

Property is ideally situated and very close walking distance to town centre. Property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. The information sheet provided all working details for the property amenities and some excellent restaurant recommendations.

Natasha's home was truely perfect in everyway. The house itself, was a true home away from home and absolutley beautifully presented. Its picture postcard entrance and the multiple floors made it even more exciting for our 8 & 9 year old to explore on arrival. There were all the home comforts available from board games to beach toys for the boys to play with and the most comfy beds, and fluffy towels. Sunshine beamed into the bedrooms for that perfect morning cup of tea whilst sitting in the window watching the world go by. As for the location, it was moments from the beach! Literally couldn't be closer if we tried and we didn't see the car after we parked it up for the weekend. Natasha was incredibly helpful and the thoughtful leaving a birthday card and box of chocs for us to enjoy. With a guidebook full of wonderful suggestions, we felt like we made the most of our time away with the perfect balance of things to do and time to rest and reset. Thank you xxx

From the very start, Angela was very communicative. She sent a list of restaurants, cafes, places to see, things to do, which was very helpful. The house was even better than we thought. Although the pictures look great, in person our expectations were exceeded. We travelled with 3 x under 5's and were chuffed at the fact that there were toys hidden in every nook and cranny. We even spent longer in the house than we thought we would because they were so well-entertained. There were little elements of detail too, with a fully equipped kitchen (particularly the fridge, pantry), some coins for the pinball and retro machines and a sign welcoming us. The location was phenomenal - literally a 3 min walk to the beach, and a 1-2min walk to the first coffee shops. Aldi was round the corner which was also super convenient. There was also on street parking, but when it was full, we parked in the pub next door. We have no complaints whatsoever and are already planning our return!

We had an absolutely wonderful week in this great property- the direct access to the beach is very special - and the house is a real home, furnished for comfortable living rather than rental. Lots of gorgeous walks near by - great golf course up the road, handy EV charging point 2 mins walk away, and Ashford designer shopping outlet 30 mins drive away.

Loved the house and location -very well equipped and very comfortable & spacious . Especially loved the balcony overlooking the sea-great for the sunset. Instructions for the oven & hob would have been helpful ! We had a lovely weekend, felt very at home .

Loved the split levels - perfect for a long weekend away with other families. It was a little bit of a squeeze around the kitchen table for 12 but we made it work. Really enjoyed our stay.

As we walked in my son said ‘wow’ and that was all of our reaction! We have stayed in a caravan on this site before but this was a lodge and it was so much bigger! Great living space, 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a veranda! 40min lovely walk along the beach/promenade into Whistable and great foodie pub just across the road (the Oyster Pearl). We had a great couple of nights here, we wished we had booked longer!

Nick is a fabulous host. Nothing is a problem for Nick. The local restaurant recommendations were spot on. The house is gorgeous, perfect for our family of four. The carefully thought out home had everything…and I mean everything you could wish for! Beds are very comfortable, space is carefully planned and utilised. Bathroom is fantastic, lots of towels! We've stayed a Ross's place a few times over the last 5 years. The location on the edge of the caravan park is lovely and peaceful with views across fields. The caravan is very comfortable, warm and has everything we need. There's lot's to do in the Camber and Rye area, there are still a few things on our list we would like to see. Lots of lovely places to eat. I thoroughly recommend this place and great value for money too! Thanks Ross!

Fantastic location, beautiful and comfy house. Perfect for a large family get-away. Games room was good fun and the garden was perfect in the sunshine. The pebble beach is just a few minutes walk away and access to the Cliff walk is easy as well.

Great house for our family holiday - lots of space, comfortable and amazing views! Lots to do in the surrounding area too - enjoyable walks into Herne Bay and Reculver a highlight for us. Maggie was responsive and helpful throughout.

We had a fantastic stay at Helen’s house to celebrate my mum’s 60th. The house is really spacious, very well equipped, and perfect for a group of 10 adults (plus a dog). The games room with pool, darts and a Nintendo Switch was a brilliant addition, and the large dining areas and BBQ made it ideal for group meals. The beds were very comfy and the garden was lovely. The location is perfect – just a two-minute walk to the waterfront and an easy 15-minute stroll into Broadstairs, which is full of great coffee shops. We had an amazing brunch at Kebbels, great food and fantastic value. Helen was a brilliant host – very accommodating and gave some great recommendations. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless & had really nice cotton sheets. Hayley was super helpful & friendly (even when we accidentally broke something) Good cookware in the kitchen meant we could cook & it’s a fab location to the sea, playground & high street. 10/10!

Had such a lovely time in this gorgeous house. The garden is huge and absolutely stunning with an amazing barbecue that was in pristine condition. The house is really well equipped and excellently located. The host was amazing and had provided lovely finishing touches around the house to make us feel so welcome. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Highly recommend.

We had the best time staying at Ben’s place. We’ve visited Margate many times and this place just topped off a great NYE visit. The place was even better than the photos and we felt at home immediately. The art and decor was stunning, beautiful design whilst also feeling cosy. Would love to visit again in the future. We (group of 8 friends) had a great stay in Otter's Hatch/annex add-on (seven bedrooms). The place is full of charm and is well-equipt. It's a literal stones-throw from the spotless beach, so we took breakfast there each morning (folding chairs provided in the house). The whole experience was easy, relaxing and we all fell a little bit in love with Deal's many charms! Thanks Mary-Jo!
