Historic Alta Vista - Saltillo Unit #3

Our family purchased the historical Alta Vista, which was built in 1931, in 2003 and began a complete authentic restoration while preserving some of its original features, including the beautiful oak flooring, exterior masonry and doors. We have modernized with central air conditioning, on-demand hot water, satellite TV, WI-FI internet and swimming pool. The kitchens and bathrooms feature beautiful talavera tile and saltillo tile floors which we brought with us from trips to Central Mexico.

This space is beautiful inside and out of the lodge. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. All 7 beds are twin xl. We are only 5 minutes from Walmart and Target and 10 minutes from the Brownsville mall. The 7th bed is in the master bedroom it could always be removed for more space. The master bedroom has its own bathroom. All rooms have a tv. The kitchen is an open concept. Courtney and Ike's Alta Vista apartment is a lovely place to stay for short-term and long-term rentals. I enjoyed my stay so much I am hoping to extend my stay and return again if there is no availability :). The apartment has everything one needs to feel at home. The internet is fast, the laundry machines are great, and there are many places to sit outside comfortably with privacy. The apartment is tastefully decorated with many windows to provide light and fresh air if needed. In addition, the location is unique and naturally very beautiful. Courtney and Ike are very responsive and reliable when one needs any help. Thank you for an awesome stay that exceeded my expectations!

The owners could not have been nicer. The property is beautiful, historic, and well maintained. We spent close to 2 months and felt virtually at home immediately. The fact that washers and dryers were available on site made the stay more comfortable. The owners have compiled a notebook that covers the questions a vacationer might have. Overall a very nice stay.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house! It was the perfect fit for our family of five—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The kids loved the cozy bedrooms and the backyard, while we enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and the proximity to local attractions. This home is absolutely beautiful and had plenty of space for my family of 10. My children & grandchildren loved the pool, playground, & trampoline. It felt like home. Dayna was very responsive every time we reached out and she is friendly & caring. We will be visiting again!
