A tip. Stay in Caniço. A very nice little town with nice people and very relaxed. Accommodation in Funchal is expensive and the city is stressful and noisy. We wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation!

Absolutely recommended accommodation. We felt right at home. Our host was very friendly and the apartment very nice. Spacious and super cozy. The communication was super quick and easy. We had everything we needed. The location of the apartment is also great. From the balcony you can look at the sea. There were some really good restaurants within walking distance. We will be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful stay with Laurentina. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Laurentina and Carlos Miguel made us very welcome and were very helpful. Carlos showed us around the grounds of the farm.Fabulous views from the hilltop and access to Levada walks from the farm. We will return !

Absolute best stay on the whole island! From the entrance that made you really get a feel of authentic local cozy homes you see in paintings, to an absolute best host Fabiana, who was super helpful and responsive about anything at all, and finally the VIEW! Absolute surprise for us and worth every moment spent there. Super excited for the plans Fabiana has to further improve the place, will 100% recommend without a doubt and will most definitely come back some day!

We can clearly say: this was the most beautiful Airbnb we've ever stayed in!!! The location, the property, the pool and above all: the beautiful little cottage. Every detail is right, so tasteful and authentic, beautiful materials, no element too much or too little. To fall in love! Normally, we almost always go out for breakfast and eat, here we have often preferred to stay on the beautiful porch. Dustin and Paula were always there for us and made sure we always had everything we needed. We will be happy to come back!!!

This is a beautiful historic home located outside the small town of Camacha, about 15 minutes from Funchal by car. Well set back from the road and area is quiet at night, mild road noise during the day if the windows are open. The home is just as described and pictured in the photos with one exception - the paint is mildewed and peeling off in a small section of the bathroom ceiling. The house was very clean and and during our 2 week stay, we also received one housekeeping visit/linen change with no extra charge. We had no need for A/C, and the radiators kept the house toasty at night. There were dehumidifers in the house but we found it dry and comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. No rodent/insect issues. A sweet small dog resides on the property. There is a lovely levada walk in the back of grounds as well. Host responded promptly to all questions. Shopping center with supermarket, laundromat 5 minutes drive. Appliances worked well. We enjoyed it

Well what can I say about abor villa- By far the best air bnb we have ever stayed in. Absolutely exceptional and decorated beautifully, so artistic and clean and akin to a boutique hotel. Emma was a fantastic host, she made the whole stay exceptional for our young family. Personal touches such as a mini chair for our two year old with suitable cutlery, cups etc ready for us, even taking the trouble to remove the legs of the children’s bed so not too high from the ground. She provided a box of toys for our children and ensured staples were ready for us after a late flight so that the children had food and milk- something we whole heartedly appreciated. The position of the villa was ideal- close to the capital, excellent views , close to restaurants and local towns and ideally situated so easy to get to the northern sites of the island which really wasn’t far when renting a car. Emma was easily reachable and offered lots of recommendations. The pool and views exceptional, we will return!

Our stay at Camacha exceeded our expectations. Martine and Richard were exceptional hosts who made us feel completely at home. They were incredibly responsive and always happy to assist, whether we needed recommendations for restaurants, hikes, or activities. The house itself was wonderfully cozy and nestled in a breathtaking flowering garden—even in January! Thank you again for welcoming us into your warm and beautiful home and for being such kind and gracious hosts. We hope to cross paths again, and we will certainly be recommending this place to our friends and family.
