Walden is located in the middle of the unique coulissen landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded borders surround the meadows. With grasslands, water, and patches of forest in between. It looks cozy, those grasslands among the trees. Smûk, we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area also received pingos as a gift from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 national parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. Ideal cycling and hiking area.

Welcome to Friese Wergea, located within cycling distance of Leeuwarden, the Alde Feanen National Park, and the water sports village of Grou. Welcome also to our old farmhouse, where part of the former stable has been transformed into a charming B&B. Uniquely decorated with lots of art on the walls and a well-stocked bookcase. The b and b is located separately and closed off from the main house. Private entrance, private bedroom and private bathroom. There is one B&B room. Breakfast included.

Stay in one of the most beautiful villas in Friesland. The entire upper floor is at your disposal. Includes bathroom with bath (no bubbles), a living room with luxury sofa and television with Netflix, Videoland and a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The Waldhûske (built in 1918) where we live ourselves, served as a butcher shop at the time and has a completely renovated guest house at the back. Near the center of Burgum and within walking distance of various eateries and shops in the heart of "De Fryske Wâlden" where water, nature and various cycling and walking routes come together.
