Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bureau County

Amazing house, great views, great communication with owner, and overall great experience! It does technically fit 10 people but that’s assuming that 8 people have to share a bed with someone else which was less than ideal for our group but could be totally someone else could be looking for. Definitely 5/5 stars and would not change a thing about our experience!

This was most definitely a very peaceful experience for the both of us. We felt very well received and appreciated how much time Nancy took out of work to greet us, show us around, and make sure that we were properly provisioned at the cabin. The cabin itself was very nicely decorated and the full view from 3 sides really allowed us to appreciate the woods environment. We got a brilliant view of a lightening storm whilst all wrapped up cozy indoors the first night. We especially enjoyed getting to meet the raccoons, and even got a chance to feed one. There is a great variety of very loved and cared for animals, and definitely going to be something of interest for everyone. One of the other big highlights was getting to sleep while listening to the coyotes howling in the evening, something I have never experienced before and certainly won't forget soon! Amber, Nana’s Cookie Cottage is the most magical little Airbnb home I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. All of your nana’s love still fills the home and you can feel it as soon as you step inside. I can’t imagine how awful it must be to be some of the select few people who come through as guests and complain about the extra touch of love throughout the home. Their loss, for sure. 10/10, I’d recommend this home to anyone who is looking to feel right at home; just like grandma’s house. Beautiful home in a perfect location for our large gathering .This listing does require advanced coordination for any visitors who are not registered guests.

Spent a few days here with our pups and it was perfect. We drove from Chicago to Starved Rock to this cabin. It was perfect little spring break getaway. Our Aussie and Border Collie loves exploring the yard and all the beautiful trails. The home was perfect for us. There was no phone signal, so I was able to finally finish a book I’ve been dragging on finishing. There were some ladybugs around but they weren’t bothering us, they are a sign of good luck. We loved that we could explore the trails. It was lovely and I can’t wait to come back with my pups.

Loved this charming farm house! Felt right at home here <3 the house was nice and clean and there were homemade cookies waiting for us! Easy check in/out. Would love to stay here in the summer/fall to see the many surrounding trees in beautiful colors!

The pictures did not do this place justice. It was beyond expectations and such a perfect spot to stay. We only wish we would have had more time to explore around the house and area. Our grandchildren loved their first experience seeing and playing in the snow. The deck was perfect and even provided some me toys for them to play with outside. Thank you truly for sharing your home!!

It was easy to find the house and checkin. The house was even more beautiful than the photos, especially the front rooms with the picture windows. The woodwork is incredible. We really appreciated the immaculate fenced-in yard, since we were traveling with two dogs. There’s also a great donut shop about 3 minutes walking distance, and the Main Street is full of options for dining and shopping. The only thing to note is that the bathroom sink had a very low flow (although the water pressure in the shower was great). Would definitely stay here again!
