Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bureau County

The perfect place for a girlfriend get together. We celebrated a friend’s retirement and knew we wanted a comfy, easy drive, stay up all night and talk type of place. We were so pleased with the accommodations - the best couch to sit on and share years of memories through hours and hours of conversations. Awesome kitchen with everything we needed. Such a sweet place to stay with great friends. Felt like being at home.

I needed a quiet place to stay to meditate, pray, study, etc. I also needed a place to meet up with a friend I hadn’t seen in 12 years. The friend was only there a short while with permission, of course, and the rest of the time I kept to my schedule and my main purpose for being there. The cottage was perfect for all the reasons I needed it to be perfect. Amber was very accommodating with my questions and requests. The cottage was like visiting someone’s grandmother without the grandmother being there. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

I booked the house for 6 adults and we were very satisfied with our stay. The house was nice and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen/living room were fantastic and offered a great place for us all to hang out. The house and surroundings were relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub and the fishing dock. We saw a lot of wildlife and enjoyed a nice walks around the lake. Olena was nice and responsive and we'd rent from her again.

House was great! Had everything my crew and I needed. Very comfortable and the deck over looking the lake was a great place to relax after work.

This place was so much fun! Busy and quirky but in a fun way. I had never seen anything like some of the decor and it was really interesting and cool to look at. Big fenced in backyard for our dog. We used this as a home base for Starved Rock State Park and Matthiesen State Park. Only 30 min from those places and 30 min from Ottawa (cool down town). I would definitely do it again.

This is the best weekend getaway near Chicago! You get to support a great nonprofit regenerative agriculture farm while having a relaxing weekend in a beautiful place. Book now! We arrived on a Friday evening and were greeted by our friendly hosts who showed us around our Airbnb. Then, we prepared ourselves dinner in the large kitchen and ate it at a spacious dining table. On Saturday morning, we got to snuggle baby goats for 2 hours. A baby goat fell asleep in my lap! Then, on Saturday evening we got a tour of the regenerative agriculture farm from the executive director of Hungry World Farm. The tour was informative and thoughtful. We also got to watch many baby lambs frolic. Finally, we made a fire in one of the fire pits and made s'mores on Saturday night. We left on Sunday refreshed and grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time in this beautiful place. We're planning to come back next spring to meet the next generation of baby goats, lambs, and calves.

The place was perfect for our needs and the host was accommodating of our unique needs. What a beautiful, charming home in a quiet, friendly small town!
