Mike’s place was the perfect spot for a friends’ getaway. Spacious, well-appointed and great communication from the host. Would definitely stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay! The space was warm, inviting, and all it was advertised to be. It was exactly what we needed—a comfortable and peaceful spot to relax. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, allowing us to check in a bit early. The personal touches really made the place feel like a home away from home. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming, relaxing stay with the most beautiful wood burning fireplace.

We had a perfect winter getaway and would be back anytime. The description and pictures shown are accurate, it’s actually more beautiful in person. Loved how well-equipped the place is. From everything you might need in the kitchen&bathroom to the beautiful and thoughtful touches like the inside swing and the coffee table books, games, movies, an array of pillows and blankets to choose from and comfy beds. This place felt like home as soon as we walked in. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful and feels private even with the neighbouring houses. The sauna is breathtaking and a luxurious addition. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. Caroline was so kind and responsive and graciously extended help during a bad ice storm that happened during our stay. We would come back, 10/10. Thank you for a memorable stay.

A fantastic cottage in a beautiful, private location. The place has everything you need. It also offers a chance to get away and unwind — with plenty of space for friends and family to join. Westport is just down the road and worth a visit, especially the brewery. Yvonne is also a conscientious and responsive host, so you’ll be in good hands. Great host, great stay!

Second time coming staying at Sam’s. Just as magical and peaceful as before. Can’t wait to come again next year.

Thank you Ryan!! This listing is the perfect escape from the city and has EVERYTHING you need. The host was very responsive, walked us through setting up a fire. Even in the craziest of snowstorms it was cozy and warm. Gorgeous decor. Comfortable couch. Couldn't say enough nice words!! Some airbnbs you can tell the host has never actually stayed there because they are missing dishes etc or it's not set up nicely. This place was PERFECT and you can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space and has stayed there themselves. Will have to be back!!!!!!!

Gary was an excellent and proactive host. We travelled in early spring, and Gary kept us updated regarding cottage access conditions following a major ice storm and let us know what we should expect for snow removal. He offered us flexible check-in/out times, ultimately allowing us extra time on the property so we didn't have to rush in or out. With regards to the cottage, the kitchen is well-stocked with basic utensils and pantry staples, the rooms were clean and well-insulated, and the location is peaceful and private. I highly recommend this location for a relaxing stay!!!

this was our groups second time staying at Victoria and Mervyn's place, and we'll be coming back again. beautiful secluded location, hot tub, fire pit, nice open space with many bedrooms. when an issue arose they were very quick to fix it. we'll be back! thank you!

Our cabin was so beautiful, incredibly clean and really well located. 10 minutes from the local town and 5 minutes from The Ivy Lea (great restaurant). We had access to the water to sit and watch the sunset, as well as access to the docks for our boat. The bay is private and beautiful. The cabins are close together and would be great for multiple family members to rent together.

Girls weekend here was fantastic! Very comfortable and clean cottage. Beautiful views. Love the large deck, enclosed porch and big kitchen. Would definitely book again.

Had a wonderful stay! Cottage was very well appointed, comfortable and clean. Grounds were beautiful, it was like being in your own mini private resort. Look out for an otter swimming back and forth in the lake-super cute! Alison was great to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. Loved it!

I'll admit, based on the reviews our expectations were high. They were exceeded in nearly every facet of our stay. We desperately needed ( election fatigue) to get away and have a week of peace, quiet, and serenity. Danielle and Jorden's home was perfect. there was not one single time while staying there that we looked for something that didn't exist. The bathrooms and kitchen are fabulous, and all are very well appointed. The radiant floors in the ensuite bath were a nice touch. The location is ideal, you are right on the lake with wonderful views from both inside and out, and despite having neighbors, it feels incredibly private. We had one small mechanical issue which Danielle took care of immediately. they were a pleasure to speak with, and their response time was always nearly immediate. The locals were incredibly friendly, the supermarket is just across the lake, and there's a nice dog park for those bringing their fur babies. We look forward to a returning to this ideal spot.

One of the best cottages I’ve ever been to, has all of the amenities you would need for a great time. The pictures don’t even do justice, it’s truly a beautiful place and the backyard has an amazing vibe with the view of the lake at all times and you can’t beat having a private beach! The host was very nice and friendly. Definitely coming back a bunch of times!

The cottages were exactly as described and perfect for a fishing weekend with friends. We found everything we needed and the setup with the bigger cottage allowed for comfortable dining and hangout space for everyone while the smaller cottage provided extra sleeping quarters for all. The property was very clean and tidy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back!

Staying at Julia’s place was a great experience ! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described (if not better). The space was cozy, stylish, and had all the thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. We rented this place over the long weekend and just loved it. Robert was a very response host. Everything was perfect. Very spacious place with everything you could possibly need. Very close to town, grocery store and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

The space was very clean, from the kitchen to the windows, and the beds were very comfortable! Check-in and check-out were very easy and the location is excellent. We went in winter, and it was a delightful weekend. I believe in summer it would be even more fun! I recommend it and hope to return when winter passes! :)

What a gem this cottage is. We’d move in forever! Loved the open concept and the updated kitchen and bathroom. Perfect for our dog with a forest hiking trail close by. We enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the dock for sunrises and sunsets. Idyllic!

We had a wonderful time in the house near the lake. It was very beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing. We are very thankful for all conditions he gave us – the house has everything you need and even more! It is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. You can feel like at home but even better, because of the amazing nature around. The fireplace inside the house created a truly cozy atmosphere, especially in the evening – it made our stay even more warm and pleasant. Thank you very much to Terry for making our Easter weekend so special. It was a perfect time alone with nature and in this wonderful atmosphere of the house.

Absolutely spectacular. Hidden gem! If you are looking for something private but still within a 15-20minute drive to groceries this is the place to stay! You won’t be disappointed. Comfortably holds a family of 6! We had an absolute blast! Stunning property and open concept cottage. Lots of natural light and gorgeous view from the living room! The dock and wrap around deck were absolutely beautiful to enjoy for sunrise and sunset! 2 hour drive to Ottawa and 2 hours to Gatineau National Park! Highly recommend the drive into Gatineau park! And Pink Salmon trail! If you have fur babies, this park is very restricted due to the sensitive eco system! Really cute shops and restaurants in downtown Ottawa and in Gatineau Park!
