Cailhau is a small medieval village (220 Inhabitants). It is located on a rock (hence the name caillou and haut). From here you can take beautiful walks (or cycling) with always another surprising view. Nearby are many wine cellars where you can sample delicious wines. Cailhau is also located in the Catharen region, rich in history, with many castles and abbeys to visit. In the village you have a cosy bistro where you can eat and drink. We have 3 gites at the property. All have a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob and combination/microwave oven, a bathroom and washing machine, TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are provided. The garden and pool are shared between the gites. Gite No. 1 is a large, detached, single-storey gite with a spacious bedroom and living room, private entrance, terrace and gas BBQ. Accommodates 2 people in 1 super king bed.

This recently renovated house is set in the middle of a 70-hectare organic wine-growing estate, in the Cathar region and close to Carcasonne. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding vineyards and forests, ideal for walks, with views of the Pyrenees. This house is next to the Belgian owners' central farm, but is entirely private. During your stay, you can enjoy free wine tasting and a tour of the winery.
