A relaxing beautiful place to put your head down after exploring the beautiful city of Canterbury. This is my second time being at the Hugo. Amazing pub next door and very quiet in the evenings. And amazingly priced for what you get. Am a student so have to be careful with the Penny’s and the Hugo is my go to when I need a place to stay for university.

Lovely accommodation very close to the beach, the town centre, good eating places and met our needs perfectly.

I stayed with my dog at Lorna's for 5 nights in May 2025. The stay was such a joy. Immediately, I was welcomed by everyone as was Lottie the dog and we felt like part of The Phoenix straight away. The space and atmosphere all say "welcome, be yourself and relax". Lorna communicated so clearly on the lead up to my stay. I didnt have to think of anything. The Boat Room has wonderful view of trees trees trees and a lovely loft nook when I chilled out read and wrote. Being able to make you own food in such a lovely kitchen was also a treat. The whole experience really was so positive and even on my departure my car battery died and the Phoenix pals jumped in to help. This place and the community Lorna and Billy have created is a super special oasis in the Kingdom. We will be back! Thank you so much folks :)

From the moment we booked Jacqueline gave us a phone call to check in with us and introduce herself ahead of our travel and check in. We experienced heavy traffic on the way down and Jacqueline was so helpful whilst we kept her updated and even stayed up late until we arrived. On top of this she still went out of her way to get us some lovely banana cake and a beer. The rest of the weekend we got left to it but always knew where to go if we needed anything. Coming and going from the property was very easy. Lovely walking distance from beaches and town. Parking can be a little difficult but there are lots of surrounding streets to park on all within walking distance to the property. On check out morning it was super easy too and once again Jacqueline was so lovely. Lovely place to stay and when we return to Newquay we would definitely stay again. Thank you ❤️

Only stayed one night for next day flight out of Gatwick but loved this small town. Place is only a few minutes to the airport and Quasim gave us a ride for a very reasonable fee. Booked the 4 bed room and felt more spacious than what I imagined from the pictures. Bathroom was so pristine and new looking. Horley is such a cute town. Ate at Foresters for the night and the food was amazing. Also did one of the escape and my group had so much fun! Would have loved to spend more time in this town.

wonderful stay in this cosy pad. bigger than I thought. bonus: parking and a little outside seating area under lush green trees. although it was a heatwave the place felt reasonably cool plus an enormous fan was provided. had a lovely homemade cake in the Maids of Honour. great place!

Jo is the best host. Location central, great base. Generous breakfast.

Had an amazing stay at the Bedford Inn! Our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, the staff were all super helpful and friendly and the location was perfect, only a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Would also definitely recommend the Sunday roast, one of the best we’ve had!

Booked at short notice. Easy to find and a lovely comfy bed at the end of the working day. Thanks both.

Honestly I think this was the best Air b&b stay I’ve ever had!!! Even out done some fancy hotels I’ve been to. Angharad is a wonderful, kind and welcoming host. The room was 10/10 in every category. Clean, comfortable, peaceful. The attention to detail was remarkable, all the extra bits in the room was much appreciated, mini fridge with lemonade, water, milk. Fresh muffins, fresh fruit. The morning breakfast- Just WOW. Im a big eggs Benedict fan, angharads was the best I’ve had. Every bite was divine. I will be returning in the near future for sure. What was a random night away and short notice booking turned out to be a peacefully comfortable night away, just what I needed.

Was a great place to stay for one night while my so. and i had a family event nearby in Washington. One thing to note is the towels are a bit on the small side so if you live a big bath towel like me you might want to bring your own. Lovely view outside through to the sea.

Angela and Kevin are the most friendly and welcoming hosts. Their hotel is a proper gem, such a peaceful place in beautiful surroundings. There's so much history to this cosy hotel! But really it was the two of them that make it, their warm and personable demeanour's make you feel so welcomed! The home cooked meal was super tasty too! We will stay again if ever in the area in the future- thank you very much!

Anja's apartment is perfect for a night away. It's nicely designed and was spotlessly clean, the bed was really comfy and the kitchenette had teabags, milk etc which we appreciated. There was an event on at the Fork and Tune, we didn't go as we wanted to make the most of the hot tub, but luckily the music was good so we didn't mind the noise! The combo of hot tub with lovely view and good tunes was fun. Probably not a great place for people wanting peace and quiet, but that's clear from the listing so we knew this when we booked. The music ended at a reasonable time so it didn't stop us from getting a good night's sleep. It was easy to find and to find a parking space, and the instructions for getting in were clear. The wifi was a bit intermittent but we've had far worse when staying elsewhere in Wales! We didn't need to ask Anja for anything but we knew she was there if we needed something. We would definitely be happy to stay there again, thanks Anja for a great stay!

Wonderful stay. Owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. Great location. Would definitely return. If I had any gripe it would be that for the price you pay I would expect a cooked breakfast to be included and not at extra cost. Otherwise perfect.

Duncan is such a lovely host, he helped check in even though he was under the weather, im so glad to have chosen this place My time at blackpool was amazing and this place made me feel like home the other guests also were lovely and the beach was also close by definitely recommend :))

Fantastic stay, the accomodation had very nice and cosy style and is well situated to go to cafes, restaurants near the centre.

I had the most amazing stay! A very special place you need to be in to understand. I’ve met some wonderful people and connections i’ll keep in touch even after leaving this place. It’s very proximal to the beach and a beautiful walk along the piers. Felt very comfortable as a solo female traveller, would recommend. I came to do horseback riding and it was perfect. Thank you Duncan for the unforgettable memories!
