We stayed for 2 nights with our young children. On arrival, we saw some lambs and calves that had recently been born, which delighted the children. We enjoyed seeing the cows, sheep, pheasants, rabbits and birds on the farm behind the patio area. The property was immaculate and really comfortable, especially the beds. We also enjoyed being able to use the hot tub, from which we could see the lovely view of the countryside around us. This has been, by far, the most peaceful place that we have stayed and we would love to come again for another visit.

We loved our stay at Anna’s place. It’s in the beautiful North Devon countryside but well situated to explore the rest of the area. We enjoyed using the pool but meeting the animals was definitely a highlight! We’ll be back to stay again :)

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. The view was incredible and the hot tub was amazing! If you’re lucky enough to have the chance to book this place, I’d 100% recommend. The host is also amazing and very responsive. Location is also extremely private and peaceful. I’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks for having me!

'Exmoor Hideaway' romantic rural retreat

We had a lovely 4 night stay, the house is in a great location in beautiful countryside within a 20-30 min drive of Lynmouth, Lynton, Woolacombe, Croyde etc. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay! We would recommend a trip to the pub in the village (the black venus) and also had great meals at the rising sun in Lynmouth and the old bank in Lynton. We would recommend this place for a relaxing escape in the countryside!

The Shepherd's Hut was a very comfortable and convenient stay for our needs. The interior is very cute and the theme is applied perfectly. Nice to be on the edge of a working farm. The escapee ducks were a highlight. Communication with Mandy was easy. We would come back.
