The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Portbahn, Holiday Cottage Bruichladdich - a 3 bedroom self catering house. You can search to see how close it is to the beach and distillery, Bruichladdich cycle path is just across the road. This is our house with our things in it, it is warm, cosy with a log burner and we hope a home from home. We can sleep and cater for up to 8 guests. Large garden, bbq, sunken trampoline and swings. 10 minute walk to shop and beaches, coastal path walk access to wild swimming all on your doorstep.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation.

Daisy cabin is a comfortable yet modern one bedroom log cabin nestled into the woods. Daisy features a small bathroom, kitchen, lounge area and bedroom alongside an outdoor wraparound deck complete with gate for keeping dog in or mine out . Hot tub area where you can relax under the stars. The outdoor space also has bbq and dining area. Turn left or right at bottom ofdrive & you will arrive at beach , or just take in Bird life in the valley .

Alma Cottage

Well equipped one bedroom converted workshop right next to Lochindaal with open plan living/dining area and kitchen, log burning stove, television and free wifi. Bathroom - wc, sink and with an electric shower. Please note when trying to locate us, maps may take you to a group of houses on the opposite of the road to where our accommodation is. We are located on the sea side of the road.

This flat is central to touring the whole of Islay. Bowmore is quaint with all the services and hospitality you would expect from an island community. Very pleasant stay on comfortable beds. Kitchen well appointed.

This was a fantastic spot to stay! Walking distance to Bowmore, beautiful scenery, a short drive to all the distilleries, and a fantastic host. Jim went above and beyond for us while we were staying there. His taxi service was amazing, and he provided us with some very fun tidbits about the island. I wish I could give this experience 6 stars.

We loved the house which has a stunning location beside the shore and wonderful views. The house had everything we needed. Only one shower so a bit of planning required in the morning but absolutely no problem. Very short walk to The Port Charlotte Hotel where we had a great meal. About 30 mins to The Machrie for fantastic golf. Laurie’s communication was spot on, not too much, not too little. Would definitely book again. Keith

We had a fantastic stay at Smiths House. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and comfortable. The home had a welcoming, lived-in charm that made us feel at ease right away. Neil was an outstanding host—helpful, kind, and genuinely thoughtful. He went out of his way to make sure we had a smooth and enjoyable visit, which we truly appreciated. The house was well-equipped, tidy, and full of character, offering a great base for rest and exploration. It was clear that a lot of care had gone into making the space feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Smiths House and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others looking for a cozy and well-hosted getaway.
