Mabel's View

A little gem in the heart of Melrose. Walking distance to everything you'll need; supermarket, pubs, chip shop!! It is a small cosy flat which heats nicely when the heating is on. The toiletries provided smelt gorgeous. Linda responded quickly to any texts and was flexible about check-in and check-out - just guessing it was because there was no-one in before, or after, us. The flat has everything we needed, and the welcome gifts were much appreciated. We were out and about most days so only used the flat for eating and sleeping, and it was a comfy bed even if a bit on the low side. Would stay here again.

Perfect base for exploring Melrose and the Borders

RayRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Pricing was excellent, had a private parking spot, everything inside was as advertised and spotless. Being from the USA, we had some trouble with the heating system instructions, but Lesley took care of that very quickly and efficiently. Problem solved. Even though warned that the staircase might be trouble for people with mobility problems, it was carpeted and absolutely easy to navigate, no problem. Everything was wonderful, and we were sad to leave. Thank you, Leslley! You did everything perfectly.

Lilliardsedge Holiday Park, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4

The caravan is situated in a quiet cul de sac with lovely views. The caravan park in general was lovely and very well laid out. We visited the nearby town of Jedburgh using the No.68 bus which stops outside the entrance to the caravan park. I would definitely recommend staying at this caravan park and using Helen's caravan.

Scottish Borders' private estate

CliffordRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Samantha was friendly and helpful but never intrusive. The Garden Flat at Woll House is spacious with great views from the grassed area and the bedroom. The bed was exceptionally comfortable; the sitting room had two comfortable settees. We did not use the log fire (for which logs were provided) because the radiators warmed the rooms despite the high ceilings. The flat was equipped with a modern LG Smart TV with the usual range of apps running from the BT broadband router, other than on our last day when internet connections appeared to go down over much of the area; we went to the Cross Keys pub in Ettrickbridge where the router was flashing red, so not a problem restricted to Woll House: just a feature of a remote area. The portable TV aerial (a flat black square) came to the rescue when lodged against the window. The kitchen appliances worked well. There is a lockable store for bikes; Samantha agreed to keeping my immaculate road bike in the corridor inside the flat.
