Excellent from start to finish. The lodge is beautiful and very clean and tidy. It is very well equipped and has everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. Great communication from Jim and Lynne throughout, would definitely recommend this place for a few days away.

5 star review here! My family and I could not have enjoyed our stay more. The lodge has absolutely everything you could need and it was spotless on arrival. The duck food, wine and Easter chocolates were a lovely surprise, thank you so much Audrey! We used the inflatable boats on the lake and we loved it, a brilliant activity to have included with the stay. We will return in the future.

Absolutely Perfect Stay in the Lake District We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cabin in the Lake District! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spotlessly clean and well-maintained everything was. The cabin had such a cozy, peaceful feel to it—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location couldn’t have been better. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot, but still super close to some of the most stunning walks and attractions in the area. Waking up surrounded by nature every morning was such a treat. Everything about the place made it feel like a true home away from home. I couldn’t have asked for a better base to enjoy the beauty of the Lake District. We clumsily lost our key on our first night, and Emma and Carol drove all the way (2 hours!!) to give us a spare key, so we won't have to wait the next day. We are so gre I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway—and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our stay at South Lakeland Leisure Village was the perfect setting for a relaxed and cosy New Year! Although the weather wasn’t on our side, we had the comfort and warmth of the lodge to relax in. Paul and Joanne’s lodge boasts beautiful views, the Waterside Restaurant and leisure facilities. The lodge was well equipped, immaculately clean and perfect for all of us; including our dogs! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for being such accommodating and friendly hosts!

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Luxury Farmhouse, for family and friends getaways

We had a lovely couple of nights stay at John & Carmel’s farmhouse. As a group of 6 who studied at the uni together, it was fantastic to have the farmhouse as a base for a couple of days of adventures. The garden area was lovely (especially with the sun we had!) for cards and sun soaking. Inside was spotless and there was everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous, modern, spacious, beautifully furnished lodge for a peaceful break away. Lovely, accessible location. Dog friendly too. We were very lucky to have warm sunshine, so made full use of the outdoor space overlooking the duck pond. Christine is a brilliant, friendly host & has made certainly made the lodge a home from home. Beautiful, kind products supplied too. Thank you Christine, loved our 3 night stay & would love to stay again 😊 Highly recommended!

Absolutely charming cabin, everything about it was peaceful and cosy. The resort was pristine and overlooking a very pretty lake and the cabin was right on the water with a lovely comfortable conservatory to sit in and enjoy the view. The cabin had everything we needed from great TV set up to a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need for self catering. We have two young kids so I particularly liked the abundance of clean towels and blankets. Margaret was really helpful and attentive, the perfect host. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

perfect place for a peaceful retreat,very comfortable, clean and safe, beautifully decorared. about 30mins from Windmere and 1hr from Aria Falls so manged two days trips over the weekend as we love hiking. Donna was responsive, helpful and kind. Will definitely come back. Thank you!

The lodge is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. It’s in a great location for exploring the lakes, and doing a spot of fishing if that’s your thing. Staff at the village are friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped with high quality appliances with a nice size breakfast bar and there is also a good size dining table. The outside area is also comfortable and easy to relax watching the occasional ducks and swan that come to visit the pond. My familiy and I had a very enjoyable stay, would recommend and I’m planning a repeat visit later in the summer.

Myself and my family had a wonderful time at Charlottes place. It was in a great location with a lovely view over the lake and the cabin itself was extremely well equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed exploring the area, lots to see and do, Kirkby Lonsdale was our favourite but plenty to come back for. Charlotte was a great host, responding to questions very quickly. We hope to return to this area of the country at some point in the future and would love to stay and Charlottes place.

We loved staying at Andrews place. Everything was as mentioned in listing. Place was very clean and was like home from home and a walking distance to Morecambe Prom Parkrun which we attended. stayed here to celebrate my husband's 50th for 2 nights with our kids and grandson., the house was massive and really gorgeous. There was everything there we could think of and more. The game room was a fantastic addition and part of the reason I chose this place. We dropped on great weather for early April so made use of the outdoor kitchen and used the hot tub one evening too. There was even a gym. All the rooms were gorgeous. 2 of the boys had to sleep together lol as I hadn't realised there were no twin beds. No big deal as we're family lol. Loads of bathrooms, great if you're travelling with males 😏 would definitely recommend Nick's home to anyone. I suffer terrible with pet allergies and you'd never know there had been any there, I had no issues at all. Thank you for a great stay x

We had such a fabulous stay at Carole’s place in Warton. The lodge was immaculate and so well equipped with everything we needed. The location was quiet, private and set around a lovely small lake. 30 minute drive to Windermere and 15 minutes to Lancaster. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again in the future.

Beautiful lodge, with everything we needed. Amazing place to spend Christmas, so relaxing and just what we needed. Can’t fault anything and would love to return ☺️
