My husband and I are familiar with this area, as we lived nearby for years prior to relocating in retirement. Came back for a week-long visit and wanted a private location to stay at. Harry and Marie's place was perfect. Quiet, easily accessible, peaceful location. I'm all about cleanliness, and they were spot-on. Plenty of useful items in the neat little kitchen area (with coffee and creamers to get us started!) I particularly liked the induction cooktop and put it to good use! The living room area is large and very comfortable! My husband especially enjoyed the recliner (It felt like home.) Bathroom spotless, plenty of towels and toiletries, great water pressure. They thought of everything...night lights, spring water, Roku TV with Wi-Fi access, movies and books. Harry and Marie were both there to welcome us and checked early on that we felt comfortable. I'm likely leaving out some other good info, but suffice it to say, we enjoyed our stay at Harry and Marie's!

To echo the sentiments of other reviews. This is an exceptional place to stay if you are looking for an immaculately presented, private, self-contained place. Communications were seamless and always helpful. I arrived late on a cold evening and the heater was on in the loungeroom. On another occasion Holly wrote to advise to watch out for high winds, fallen branches and snow on the roads. Such thoughtful touches were evident from start to finish. I was visiting my son in Gettysburg as well as doing a little sightseeing around the area. The location is perfect for exploring the area. Photos are a good reflection of what to expect.

Our stay at Julia’s farm was truly special. The moment we arrived, we were surrounded by beautiful greenery, fresh air, and this peaceful calm that just made us breathe a little easier. Everything was so well cared for—it’s clear how much love goes into maintaining the space. Julia herself was an absolute gem. So kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. And the cats! The farm is full of the sweetest little furry companions that made the whole experience even more charming. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already missing the calm vibes (and the cats). If you’re looking for a cozy, quiet escape with a big heart, this is it.
