Lake houses in Blue Ridge Lake

My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

Great place! Small and cozy with a wonderful fire pit. The host went out of his way to make us feel welcome and made sure we were alright during our entire stay.

Our family has been coming to Bear Paw for the last 20 years for our family reunion. This was our first time in this cabin, and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of space, and our children truly enjoyed the game room and well stocked board games. We ended up meeting the neighbors when enjoying the lake and they were so wonderful as well.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ruth's Airbnb, and I couldn't be more impressed! From the moment I arrived, Ruth was an incredibly welcoming host, greeting me with warmth and making sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The space itself was immaculate, festive decorations, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities I could ask for, from a well-stocked kitchen to plush bedding. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat yet close enough to local attractions. Ruth went above and beyond to make sure I had a seamless experience, providing helpful local recommendations and even a personalized welcome booklet. I felt like I was staying in a home away from home. I left feeling completely refreshed and grateful for such a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a relaxing and memorable stay, Ruth’s place is definitely the one to book! Highly recommended!

We had a good stay at Whippoorwill. We cook a lot and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with different pots and pans and also basic necessities (salt pepper/sugar/oil/vinegar). The A/C works well and surrounding area is prettt quiet, it backs up to a national forest. The home was one minute away from a popular day-use area with lake access, picnic tables and trails. It's only a few minutes from the dam day use areas (including river access) and maybe 8 min from Morganton point day use area which was the nicest, most beach-like lake access point we found. I will say based on the google map image I was expecting the home to have more of a lake view, that was the only downside, but it's summer so the trees are grown in. You can see it from the upstairs windows and from part of the porch though and we were able to see fireworks displays over the lake in July 3rd and 5th (we could see some of the 7/4 ones over the dam but trees blocked some of them). I would stay here again.

I can't say enough about Lisa's home! It had everything listed and more. The thoughtfulness in the little details made this the best experience we have had with an Airbnb. This home is beautiful and the amenities at the lake were perfect. Our family had a wonderful week and hope to do it again in the future.

Designer quality everything, well thought out for families, convenient to all things food, activities, etc

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

Not only was this location absolutely beautiful but it was so comfortable too. I found myself sleeping in almost every morning, which I never do. I always come well prepared with extra supplies, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent etc and this house was so well stocked. The hot tub was great, the game room so fun, the kids enjoyed the projector room and it was nice to sit on the couch with the fire on the deck and watch the sunset. We even took our boat into Blue Ridge Lake. We loved this house and had an amazing Spring Break. We hope to come again one day. Thank you for providing such a great cabin.

What’s hidden gem! We enjoyed our getaway with kayaking in morning and camp fires in the evening. It is off country/gravel roads and a bit from the closest store so best to plan accordingly.

Mikes place is PERFECT! We had a wonderful stay. The location was beautiful, the interior and exterior were spotless… we kept saying how clean it was to each other! Mike was very hospitable and helpful to all of our questions. 10/10 would recommend and would stay again. Thank you Mike!

What a remarkable cabin! Amazing place with so much to do and so many amenities. The scenic views of the lake cannot be described. We didn’t get on the lake, but neighbors in the community did and it looked like a lot of fun. We spent a lot of time in blue ridge and we love it there with all the great restaurants and shopping. The cabin is very convenient to down town which we liked. Next time we will be coming back to Michaels place. It’s one of the best airbnb’s in the area for sure!

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim’s cabin. The cabin was easy to find and not too far from anything we needed to get to in town. We enjoyed being on the porch listening to the river & our many naps on the swing. The cabin itself was cozy & great for a couple. Would stay again!

My family has stated at this location numerous times since 2018. Situated on a small man-made lake in Cherry Log, the setting is very serene. We've stayed at a few of the cabins surrounding this lake and we generally prefer this location. The current owner (Corey) took over in 2021/2022 and has maintained the charm of the cabin and has made some upgrades (new furnishings, games, improved kayaks, and I believe an improved firepit). His communication was top-notch when my wife had a question about the location upon arrival. We would definitely look to stay again in the near future.

Jason and Allison’s home is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you step through the front door, you're welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The main living area is both spacious and cozy, with stunning views that can be enjoyed from indoors or while relaxing on the main deck. The furniture—both inside and out—is thoughtfully chosen for comfort and style. What truly sets this home apart are the personal touches and meticulous attention to detail that Jason and Allison have put into every corner. It’s clear they go above and beyond to create a special experience for their guests. This home is a must-visit and should be at the top of everyone’s list. We’re already looking forward to returning for another stay!

We had a great time at Hikers Retreat! The cabin was lovely and we enjoyed the pool table. It was convenient to lots of things to do in Helen and Blairsville. It was a quiet relaxing place to stay with great views.

We had a great visit at this cabin! The host was extremely responsive before and during our stay which really helped in ensuring that we had a great getaway! The cabin had everything you could ever need, just show up with food and clothes!! The outdoor space was perfect for kids and really helped pass the time with so many things to do outdoors. We also utilized the resort pass and the kids loved the indoor pool. If clean, kid friendly, and near the water is what you are looking for this is a great option.

The home was beautifully decorated for the holidays making us feel at home from the start. The home had all the amenities needed and very clean. Laura was a great host providing information on what to do in the area and responses to any questions we had. Had an a time! A wonderful way to start the New Year!

Our stay at the cabin was perfect! It was cozy, peaceful, and exactly as described. The setting was beautiful—secluded enough for relaxation but still close to everything we needed. The view from the cabin of the mountains was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking. However, you did have to work for the view driving up a very windy one-lane road to get to the AirBnB. (I would recommend trying to get in before dark) The cabin was clean, well-stocked, and had all the comforts of home. The hosts were responsive and made sure we had a great experience. We’d love to come back for another getaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The pictures of this listing just don’t do it justice! It is a beautiful house placed perfectly in the mountains, which makes for quiet nights and great views. Everything was stocked and there’s plenty of TVs and games to keep you busy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a mountain get away!

This AirBnB in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains was a wonderful place to get away from it all. The view from the cabin's deck was great. It was a bit of a rocky climb to get there by car, but totally worth it. Lewis was also very helpful in responding to our concerns about flooding due to heavy rain one of te nights we stayed. Overall a great experience!

We enjoyed our stay. The place was beautiful and my children really loved the pool and hot tub.
