Susie was a fantastic host, very communicative and clear with her instructions, she checked in with us and made sure everything was good for our single night stay. As a full-time host myself it was nice to have a host who does a great job and doesn't just do the bare minimum for the reservation to be completed. Beautiful property with lots of animals surrounded by nature and a very clean little bunkhouse. My wife and I were quite happy with the spot and do recommend staying here, a slice of country instead of just overpaying for some hotel in town.

Pros: Chad definitely was a "Super Host": he was responsive, helpful, and friendly. I had accidentally booked my reservation to end a day earlier and he was very helpful about making sure I was able to extend without having to make a new reservation. House was very close to town center. It is well maintained and clean. Kitchen was spacious. Outside space is very family friendly with a nice porch and bbq area. Area is safe and picturesque. Good location in central Texas. Cons: House is older and has a few older house issues (doors stick, dated). Beds need to be updated. Overall, I WOULD stay here again.

Such a great place to stay! The cabin makes you feel right at home and the rustic character they put into it is just amazing. The bed is super comfortable, you have all the amenities you would need and there’s a large tv to watch movies if want or need to stay inside. The setting is peaceful and remote yet easy to get to and not too far away from everything. There’s a covered porch we sat on and watched the birds and a few bunnies play! Would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay! Having the lake just a small trot away was wonderful, and everyone felt really comfortable. We loved having two living rooms for the early birds and the night owls. And we were greeted every day by the super friendly dogs in the neighborhood! Would definitely return.
