Apartment vacation rentals in Black Forest

The hosts were fantastically responsive, and friendly! The Airbnb has a communal feel, but the rooms are private if you want to be alone. Our unit was clean, quaint and welcoming. We could walk to all locations in our agenda (in town for a wedding) and Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs are less than a 10 minute drive. The hosts provide numerous suggestions for things to do in the area and places to eat and drink. They have a tie dye store on property where guests, and the general public, can tie dye items. Guests get a discount too. We will definitely stay at this location again.

We visited from Indiana which was a 15 hour drive. The host was very flexible and helpful with a smooth check in before and after our long drive. Always responsive and super friendly. The place itself was exactly as expected with a beautiful view of the mountains. Very local which made going to places easy and within walking distance which was great. One thing we didn’t expect but loved was the adjustable bed. Overall would 100% recommend staying here if you are visiting for vacation. It is about a 2 minute drive to the Red rock canyon.

We walked into a beautiful place to stay that felt very welcoming. Our stay was for 30 days from late Jan. to Late Feb. We got a fantastic winter rate $$. The living room is cozy with a couch and an electric fireplace with a large tv. The kitchen is full size with assorted appliances to use. Loved the welcome basket and coffee. The booklet provided was great with all the local places to shop and eat. It also included all the instruction booklets for the appliances and heaters which came in handy. The bedroom is large and has the best most comfortable bed ever, with the best pillows and bedding. The bathroom is a game changer, with a full size walk in glass shower. The laundry room had a stackable washer and dryer, with a place to set your luggage and shelving galore. This place was well thought out. Loved the location being in a private area. We enjoyed going out each day and exploring the area. I would highly recommend staying here. This place is a lil hidden gem!

The condo was very comfortable and the decor lovely, Geordan is a great host and accommodated our special check out request. We needed parking to accommodate a large moving truck and car. There was ample parking in a safe location. We appreciate Geordan’s prompt communication to our requests! Thank you!

We enjoyed staying at Corinne's place. At first, I was a bit suspicious about the rental closest to The Garden being significantly less expensive than the alternatives but there was no catch. It is rather old and simple but very quiet and private, clean and functional, with good wifi and comfortable bed. Between the air fryer and the microwave, we didn't have to go out, and washer / drier came in handy. Will definitely come back when visiting the area.

Kristen was a wonderful host! She made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and went out of her way to ensure our vacation went smoothly. She was very responsive to our questions and concerns. The apartment was beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!

Christine’s place was exactly as described. Beautiful view and landscape. Easy to get to and very close to the freeway.

Super responsive and helpfull

We stayed here while visiting friends in the area and would absolutely stay here again. It is much nicer than it looks in the photos- light, bright, sunny and airy. Super clean, well maintained, comfortable furniture and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of thoughtful touches like games, nice coffee selection, hot cocoa, water bottles, umbrellas, kitchen staples etc. The host was a good communicator, super responsive and made sure the pack and play and changing pad were up before our arrival with our baby. The balcony and patio are a lovely spot to sit outside. The AirBnB is right behind the host's house but they respected our privacy and we felt like we had our own private space to enjoy. Overall a very comfortable, lovely and thoughtfully done AirBnB with a host who cares about the guest's experience and attention to detail.

We loved staying at Jacob & Mishea's place. It was adorable and very well put together. It had everything we needed and more. It's super close to everything and was so great to have a place to come back to that felt like home. Mishea was friendly and great to answer quickly when we had questions. We can't wait to come back and stay again. Thanks!

Fairly quiet place. Other guests in the unit above can be a bit distracting. The place offered complimentary snacks and local beverages. QR codes throughout the unit to assist with any questions. 7' ceilings so it feels like you're in a basement instead of street level. All tile floors throughout with throw rugs. Alexa was a fun bonus to use to listen to music. Nice size TV. All cupboards were labeled in the kitchen. Made it easy to find anything you may need.

Our stay here was great. If we had any issues they were right on it.

We enjoyed our stay at Ron & Kelly’s place. The views were absolutely stunning and the Nespresso bar was perfect to wake up to every morning while soaking in the beautiful mountain scenery from the patio. Heated bathroom floors are now at the top of our list of new home must haves (Haha!) and we’re so nice stepping onto after showers. So much to see and do close by… Wonderful restaurants, trails, shopping, etc. Ron was so nice to reach out during our stay to check-in and let us know about a festival going on. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the springs.

If I could rate Brenda's place with a million stars, I would. This place was amazing. We came to Colorado (from Buffalo) for a family wedding and stayed with family members in Brenda's house. Roomy, clean, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, etc. Brenda thought of every detail. Brenda was extremely responsive to any questions I had. Everything was labeled in the kitchen so while cooking I didn't have to keep randomly opening cabinets looking for what I needed. I even took home a few ideas for my own kitchen :) Even though the place is owner-occupied, you would never know it. It was very quiet. The deck, hot tub, and firepit were a beautiful way to relax after running back and forth to the wedding venue for 2 days. Waking up in the morning and stepping out on the deck to see the beautiful Pike's peak was absolutely breathtaking. I would highly recommend this home! If you have a date in mind and it's open -- don't hem and haw about it -- because it will be scooped up!

I have stayed in vacation homes around the world, and Casa Colorado is one of the best. If there were a rating above super host, I would give it. As well as providing a comfortable, cozy retreat in a beautiful setting, Brian and Franka also provide very thoughtful things, such as very specific directions, a snack basket, chocolates by the bed, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a hair straightener, fan, and noise machine. When the hair dryer quit working, Franka was quick to provide a replacement. We greatly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings as we had our morning coffee and a few meals outside. The hot tub was a fabulous treat after busy days sightseeing and hiking. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at peaceful, serene Casa Colorado and definitely plan to stay there again.

The apartment was even cuter in person. absolutely perfect. Check in and out was super easy. The kitchen had everything that's needed. the bathroom had a beautiful deep tub with hot water. The bed was very comfortable. The area was very peaceful and plenty of places to get out into nature and hike or whatever is wanted. I would most definitely recommend!

SUPERB stay! Our stay in Cheri's lower level apartment was excellent from start to finish. The living area was beautifully laid out, with a pair of comfortable sofas and warm, soft lap blankets, plus an electric fireplace. We used it each evening, as the weather was quite cool during our stay. There was a second fireplace in the living room, but we didn't need it. The bedroom also had a fireplace, which again, we didn't use, because the very comfortable king sized bed was well appointed with layers of fluffy bedding: it was like sleeping in a nest of warm clouds, we just loved it! Plenty of closet space, and two sturdy luggage racks, which we really appreciated. Cheri truly went above and beyond: the kitchen was stocked with everything your redirect, but also supplies necessary for a hot breakfast, plus bottled and sparkling water. Same with the bathroom, as the soaps, shampoos, lotions, and make-up removers were so nice that I didn't use my own things. Fantastic Airbnb stay!!

Staying with Effie and Joshua for the weekend was great! They were both friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful with a great view of the mountains. It was in a great location, easily drivable to where you want to go. The house was clean, well taken care of and in a quiet neighborhood. I felt perfectly safe in both the house and the neighborhood. Effie was quick to respond to my questions. Very much enjoyed my stay with them.

Found Jacquie’s place last minute (do not think that’s typical but we lucked out) after our original booking with a different host was not a good fit for us. The place was beautiful and super clean. Felt homey and was close to a lot of the attractions we were seeing- Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs shopping and hiking the Manitou Incline. The parking was plentiful on the street. The hot tub and fire pit in the back were excellent. We grilled one night and the place is also very well stocked with cooking utensils and snacks/coffee. Clear instructions for everything. I wish I would have found this place months ago when I was doing my original trip planning. Can’t wait to come back again sometime. Beautiful home and space.
