Family-friendly vacation rentals in Billingstad

We enjoyed our brief stay at Kristian’s apartment. It was a bit tricky to find the apartment and it’s up five sets of stairs (we left luggage in the car!) but we appreciated the thorough instructions Kristian gave us when he greeted us upon arrival (we weren’t used to meeting the host - that’s not really done in the US). Amenities were nice and we’d definitely stay again!

Large and nice basement apartment, with good bedrooms and large living room. Convenient with bathroom and shower in various rooms. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find.

Spent New Year here, fantastic views, very comfortable accomodation, well equipped if you chose to self cater, would recommend.

Marthe 's place was lovely. We stayed there for one week and we had a great time. Grocery stores and restaurants just one minute walk away. The subway station was also one minute away and the Central S station was about 5 minutes away. The bus stop to Bygdoy (museums) was about 2 minutes away. The neighborhood was very lively in the evenings with many people outside. We felt completely safe. The apartment itself was large and clean with funky art decorations, perfect for a family with enough space for everyone. The wifi was very fast. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the rooftop views. Marthe was very kind and communication was fast. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place. Thanks Marthe for everything.

We enjoyed staying at Christoffer's place for a few days. The apartment is well equipped and located close to public transport and grocery stores. Staying here it allows you to experience living as a local. Christoffer sent us a lot of tips about Oslo, was very polite and communicated very well. We would stay again at his place when visiting Oslo.

From the start, we were very well received. Tomasz was ready to greet us when we arrived, so we were in really safe hands. He just reviewed the amenities with us and everything was really nice! We had an absolutely perfect stay at Tomasz's place and our trip couldn't have been better! We will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful 4 days in a cozy and comfortable house with all amenities. I haven't experienced a more friendly and helpful host before. The house is located in the suburbs of Oslo, next to a bus stop and a shop. All photos and description of the house fully correspond to reality. We felt at home and grateful for Anniken's generous hospitality. She was very prompt in answering any questions we had. We will remember this vacation for a long time and hope to come back again, but already in the summer ;)

We had an amazing experience at the summer cabin in Hvitsten! The cabin is absolutely beautiful, in a perfect location that gave us peace and beautiful views. We, including our small family and dog, enjoyed ourselves for 4 nights and could not have been happier. The host was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our inquiries. When we experienced some challenges with wifi, it was sorted out right away, which we really appreciated. All in all a delightful stay and we are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful place to stay. Quirky, well stocked, really close by to the bus stop into central Oslo, and a supermarket. Tomas was so helpful with all my questions, responded quickly, and was always friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We traveled with our 1.5 years old baby and it was perfect! The apartment is in a gated building, which felt very secure. There is a ramp at the entrance of the building, and the elevator was big enough for our compact stroller. The Host kindly had a travel cot ready for our kid and they also left a high chair. Another high chair was also available for older kids. There is an open wardrobe right at the entrance of the apartment that was great to leave the stroller and/or suitcases, so they were not in the way. The bathroom is very spacious and the water pressure was great! The apartment is super bright, which we loved! Both bedrooms have blackout blinds, and the mattress was comfortable. Communication with the Hosts was very good, always responsive, friendly and helpful. This is heir family home, so it has a lot of personal touches. We would love to come back!

We had a really nice stay at Kaja's place in the Holmenkollen area. The house is large and has a very beautiful kitchen and great upper floor with lots of amenities for kids. The bathroom is fantastic and bedding is great. There is lots to do in the area especially if you are into nature. Also the railway to the city centre is relatively close and there is also a direct bus to the city center super close by. We would come back for sure!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was cozy and warm, even in the winter. Thove was a caring host, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions for things to do. We would recommend it for a getaway.

We loved our stay! It was a great location to experience the tranquil countryside (especially in the snow! 🤩) Our children loved sledging etc and it felt like a home from home as well as being a 45min drive from Oslo. Lots of other places to explore from here too. The house is cosy and had everything we needed. The washing machine was very handy too! Thank you again for being such friendly hosts

Everything was exactly as described. Great location, easy to walk to lots of bars/restaurants and shops. Alphonso was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

We had a very pleasant stay with two adults and two children. Awesome house, clean and welcoming, all amenities. The location was quiet and peaceful and very lovely with a pool in the heat :) Pia responded quickly and was very service minded. We would gladly came back :)

Beautiful apartment with fantastic view overlooking the harbour area. Easy walk to Opera House, and then into town. Great communication from hosts and flexibility with check-in when our flight was cancelled. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here for four nights in May, 2023. The place is in a relatively new building and everything in the place was effectively brand-new. The location was a little bit off the main area, but it was a short walk to downtown so that really wasn't an issue. The place was clean, comfortable, and we would definitely stay here again.

We were a large family group gathering for our first time in Oslo. The island location is gorgeous and the house is both beautiful and well suited to a family group. Catherine was proactive in getting our groceries delivered so we were comfortable despite no stores on the island. We also had free use of their boat which allowed us to arrange our schedule as we liked. Pacing with our large family group meant accounting for two shuttle trips to get all of us across to the mainland. The 31 bus line was close and frequent for getting us into Oslo. We bought a week pass but no one ever seemed to check the bus ticket. The house itself was well equipped with everything kitchen, fireplace and gorgeous outdoor space. It was a little cool and rainy for the pool but the hanging outdoor bed was a favorite spot to hang out.

Great host, great stay, exceeded expectations. We were really happy with the place, it had plenty of room and beds for our guests. There is room for 2-3 cars at front, could not hear any road noise so it was peaceful, plenty of bedding and everything felt clean and fresh. Kids loved using the trampoline and playing some of the many games that are around. Kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and everything you need. Iron and ironing board was handy as well as washing machine. Gym was a nice to have with TV whilst you work out. The host was really quick to respond when we had questions and they were very professional. Overall, we loved our stay here!

This home has a perfect location for exploring Oslo. It is well equipped with everything you need for cooking, and has toys for the kids to play with. It has fun decor and style and comfortable beds. Lots of space for our whole family. We didn’t end up using the pool, as it takes some effort to get the cover off and back on. We loved our stay here!
