Monthly Rentals in Big Sandy Pond

The Barefeet Retreat was just as described. A lovely home with plenty of space for our family! The primary bedroom with ensuite and lounge area is luxurious. All the bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. As we stayed in the winter, we made use of the gas fireplace every night. Ronda is a great host. She made everything so easy!

What a cool spot! Stayed a couple nights with friends for a "Book Retreat" and had the best time reading in the Hammock, chatting by the fire pit, and cooking together in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful week at Rachael's cabin. We had cloudy weather for the first couple of days and found ourselves exploring the area. We enjoyed a day at the Heritage Museum and Gardens, a day in Plymouth, and a day in Falmouth with a ride through Woods Hole. On the sunny days, we took Rachael's recommendation and visited Scusset Beach. The kids loved looking for interesting beach rocks and walking down the jetty. We also rode over to West Dennis Beach, which had warmer water. The surrounding area was very picturesque and quintessentially Cape Cod. After our day trips, we returned to the cabin to enjoy the evening swimming and playing by the pond. The pond was perfect for our six and nine-year-old kids—clear sandy bottom and shallow enough to stand. The stairs leading down to the water were recently repaired, but I would steer clear with young kids (4 or younger) or grandma or grandpa :) Overall, we felt very at home and would love to visit again.

Very nice, comfortable space in a quiet neighborhood. Hosts were very responsive. It was very clean, plenty of towels and extra blankets. Convenient location for all of our day trips. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
