Cottage vacation rentals in Big Bear Lake

The home was perfect for our family Christmas. Our kids loved the outdoor fire pit and board games. Home was perfectly described as an antique home with very a lot of detail in the home still. We will definitely be booking again

We loved our stay. My husband and I went to Running Springs simply to taste the pizza at Lou Eddies near by. The cottage was close to the location. There was also a strip of stores nearby with everything you will need. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor chairs and enjoying the quiet, relaxing on the couch and watching a movie and simply needed a quick break from the hustle and bustle of life. The cottage felt private, was very quiet and every detail inside was well thought out. It is clear from the moment you step inside that Jen and Austin care for their cottage. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Cindy's cozy cottage was exactly as we expected and worked perfectly for two adults and our dog. It was very easy to find and access. The cottage looks exactly like the pictures and was a very short walk to the village and many restaurants. It was also a short drive to the trailhead of the hike we chose to do on the north side of the lake. Cindy graciously allowed us a late check out which we very much appreciated. We would stay again!

Anha's has been one of the most pleasant hosts to communicate with. She was quick to respond, super sweet, and very accommodating. The place was very clean and I loved the way she decorated the place, modern but still gives that cabin feeling. I really enjoyed the kitchen, the layout was super functional and it was fully stocked. I also loved the open layout of the living room and kitchen because the whole family still gets to be together and interact while we made dinner. Really really enjoyed our stay here, would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay! The house was clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We also appreciated how many clean towels were available. The hosts were super friendly easy to get ahold of and Matt even shipped us some clothing items we forgot!

The Calipe cottage was cozy and convenient not far from plenty of restaurants and activities gave us the mountain feel for sure! We did travel with our 2 year old and they provided little toys for him and books which was cute the only thing was that after dark it was really hard to see outside or to be outside spa light was a small red light which made it kinda scary for us to be outside to enjoy the hot tub but if you love peace and quiet and mountain feel you will for sure love it ! The bathroom is cute and small but my husband is big and bulky and in picture it did look bigger than what it actually was. Host was super quick in responding which was great we didn’t have any issues and all questions were answered quickly! Thank you for having us 🙏🏼

Location, location, location. Great rental very close to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Very peaceful setting with tons of trees and quiet. Easy access to Sand Canyon trail which was wonderful to walk the dogs on. Will definitely book again.

We attended a wedding at Miller’s Landing and stayed at Zak's cottage for the weekend. It was the perfect distance to the venue, as well as a few restaurants and a grocery store. This location was very convenient. The place was also very clean and had all the amenities we needed and more. We would definitely book again!

Very beautiful, very peaceful. A lot of small touches that make this a wonderful place to stay. We would love to come back at some point.

This was our third time back at Hidden Passage and it’s just a dream every single time. The atmosphere is immaculate and the cabins feel just like home. This is our second time booking Muse and the updates to the interior were so nice! There is no place more peaceful, restful, and relaxing. Diane checked in with up each step of the way and made sure our stay was awesome. The workers we saw out there were also super friendly and welcoming!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hidden Passage Athena. I loved the pool, and how peaceful, quiet and private it was. It’s exactly what we were looking for. Diane was very nice and communication was great. Very clean. A/C worked perfectly and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. A couple small details that were not a problem for us, just helpful so you know what to expect. The shower is a very basic plastic corner stall shower with no shower head, and a little tricky if you’re tall. There are no curtains on the bathroom windows, but there’s also no one around really, so I wasn’t worried about it. There is good take out food about 15 min away. We didn’t order delivery because I doubt the drivers would want to take the long dirt road to get in. Overall it was a very peaceful, lovely stay. I chose it for the pool, and it did not disappoint! The best part is that there was never anyone using it while I was, so very private!

WOW!!! Book it. You won’t regret it. Words do this place justice. The view from Zeus was absolutely stunning! Diane and her staff went above and beyond our entire stay. I’ll just say it’s few and far between to find people who genuinely care - and they do!!! The property was serene and peaceful - soul refreshing. Make sure to bring closed toe shoes. Even if you typically don’t do nature walks or hikes, bring them bc it is so beautiful there - you’ll be dying go look around. Also, visit the community center before you head out - they’ve got hiking sticks you can use on your journey. We had plans to go to Newport Beach, Joshua tree, several other places - we ended up only leaving twice - mainly to go to the grocery store and back. We couldn’t talk ourselves into missing this stunning place for even a second more than we had to. From watching the sun come up over one mountain to watching it set across another - more than anything I miss the night sky. Absolutely incredible.

I also really appreciated the thoughtful touches around the house, which made it feel extra welcoming. Highly recommend this spot, and I’d definitely love to come back!

We had the best time! It was quiet and serene. We checked out the local hiking spots and enjoyed the bbq outside. The pool was a beautiful touch. Very refreshing after a sunny hike. Diane was also very responsive and available when we needed anything. We felt very well take care of. Will definitely visit again.

An absolute gem of a location. Perfect privacy and nearby accessibility within walking distance to the pool, bathing areas and trails. I really felt like I had my own home while there and the WiFi throughout the location was a big plus! Will definitely come back again!

The host was very friendly and responsive. The home felt nice and cozy and we like how they had a lot of books and games for kids. We recommend staying here at Leanne’s place :) also the jacuzzi was amazing.

Hands down the best place I’ve stayed in around Joshua Tree. The shade trees out front with the hammock swing to sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the valley and mountains. The cool tile floors on hot days, the good selection of vinyl, the comfortable bed, the hot tub for star gazing and on and on and on. The hosts were great communicators and were really helpful. Highly recommend

The host goes out of her way to accommodate anything you could possibly need or even desire! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that no detail was overlooked in making this a comfortable and accessible home. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this ADA-compliant house. The house is thoughtfully designed with a lower-level bedroom with a lift, an accessible bathroom, and ramps at the front door making it easy for everyone to enjoy their time here. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could ever need, and the open living area has plenty of seating for our entire group. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bedding was top of the line. The outdoor space was equally inviting, with a large patio, koi pond, large jacuzzi, gas fire pit, and bikes available to ride.

We had a lovely stay! The location was really nice and close to everything. The best part was the hot tub after a cold day tubbing with the kids.. Great price, great location, had a great a time.

Staying at the Cozy Cottage was an amazing experience! I booked the cabin for a weekend trip as a Valentine’s Day present, and our stay there was perfect. Mary Ann & Chuck were both very helpful, they guided us to an alternate route to the cabin to avoid an icy/snowy hill, and made sure we got there okay. As far as the cabin itself goes, there’s really nothing bad to say. The heaters upstairs and downstairs work great, and they work fast. You don’t need to go above 68° to really feel warm. The water pressure & heat in the shower is great, the bathroom’s immaculately clean, and very well-themed! The master bedroom is also very well put together. Everything is labeled, but non-obstructively; you only see them when you need them! We made sure to follow the guide & instructions in welcome packet & introductory e-mail, and we had no questions. Check-out was very flexible, and the amenities are amazing. Make sure to sign the guest book if you visit :) 10/10!!

Stood here while I competed in a Spartan event. Super cozy and clean. Host was responsive and friendly. Perfect getaway spot. Will definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay over Memorial Day! Loved the yard and the neighborhood, the house was comfy and a great base for exploring hikes and lakes in the area.

Our family had a great time at this place. It really felt like home, rooms were sized pretty well and the kids rooms had toys which our toddlers loved. We just wished the clothes dryer was working. Besides that it’s in a great location and great for the price. Thanks!
