Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bessèges

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Marie-Lucy is a great host, very welcoming and knows her area well. She gave us great advice on finding beautiful hikes and also on local specialties to try, and where to find them. Regarding the accommodation, the Clédette is a nice little house full of charm and well-equipped, located in a quiet area in the mountains, with a beautiful view. A really soothing place, we'll be back with pleasure!

A real little piece of heaven! Estelle is adorable, we had a good time with her, she is attentive and always available if you need anything. The accommodation is great, the kitchen is small but more than enough to prepare good meals. The exteriors are very pleasant, the pool is beautiful, there is a table under a pergola to be able to eat in the shade. We spent 4 wonderful days, we enjoyed every moment spent at Estelle's. We hope to be able to return to this little gem one day

I enjoyed my stay in Ardèche in the beautiful apartment offered by Jean-Baptiste. the apartment is very well-equipped as if you were at home. There is a beautiful space and it is bright with a beautiful outdoor terrace to enjoy the view. i would recommend it without any problem. 😉

Amazing views of the valley, on the border of the Cevennes and the Monts d 'Ardèche. A refreshing stay in peace. The house is part of a beautiful hamlet, restored and maintained by Fabienne and Philippe, the owners, who are charming and with whom we regret not having spent more time! Next time we hope!

We had a relaxing stay, apartment was amazing, the bed was so comfy - we Slept so well - gardens and swimming pool were beautiful and loved the hammocks in the garden - it was so peaceful - the hosts were very friendly and we loved the platter on arrival and the breakfast basket was delicious - we can highly recommend this apartment and we hope to return one day 😊

2 extraordinary days in a small cocoon, we were under the spell of the very quiet and charming little village as well as the accommodation, nothing to say, everything was perfect. Excellent place, very clean, well distributed and nicely renovated department with a lot of utensils and its own private parking spot. Thierry was very proactive, responsive and super kind, he waited for us and showed us the place. The hosts also let us arrive before our check in time.

A wonderful and memorable stay! The studio is still as charming and pleasant, very well equipped and comfortable. The spring light bathes the space in a beautiful softness, we like to stay and rest there, after a hike or simply to recharge. Véronique and Pascal are perfectly friendly and very attentive hosts. It's a real pleasure to stay with them. The Ardèche Gorges are nearby, as are many hikes, caves and quaint villages. Nia is a gem. We recommend it, and we'll be back. 😉✨

We stayed at Michelle’s apartment for 2 weeks. It was the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at (among probably 20 + places we have rented over the last 40 years). Everything about the experience with Michelle was top notch. She’s so friendly, thoughtful, caring and professional. We needed to contact her a few times during the stay, and she handled every question perfectly and with grace. The apartment’s amenities ticked off all the boxes. We chose it for the proximity to downtown, and were happy to be able to walk easily to all the stores, restaurants, pharmacy, Place aux Herbes, etc. That means a lot, since my husband cannot walk long distances. In addition, we arrived in town at the start of a very nasty cold/flu illness we’d picked up on a cruise a few days before. The apartment was perfectly suited to help us rest and recover.
