Tent vacation rentals in Berkshire

We had a great stay in the bell tent thank you. The campsite is just lovely. Peaceful. Well maintained. Clean amenities. The tent was well equipped and thoughtfully done. The double bed was lovely and comfortable, clean and well presented. The little sofa beds for the kids could be updated as they weren’t very comfortable for my kids unfortunately. Wonderful stay though and we’d love come back.

Great bell tent with plenty of space surrounding the tent for the kids and dogs to play, nice little fire pit for the evening, amazing pizza and burgers cooked on site. The only small negative for us was the heater that was in the tent was to small for the space and didn’t make any difference, we’re not bothered by the chilly nights but we had a baby with us so wanted to take the chill out the air but it didn’t suffice. Apart from that would definitely be returning.

We had a great time here. The location was picturesque and there was plenty to do on our week long stay. The tent was ideal and surprised us with how roomy it was. Check in was easy as in they text to let you know it’s ready and you just turn up at your tent. Each tent has a BBQ kettle, fire pit, two deckchairs and a large beanbag so lounging outside is to be encouraged. The views are great and the animals on site are friendly enough. The only gripe we have (completely not anything the venue can solve) is the Earwigs! They get absolutely everywhere! If you’re going to stay here then be prepared and maybe bring some airtight containers (even then they’d find a way in!). The play barn area and farm activities are spot on and there’s a lot to do to keep you entertained and although you have to pay, if you’re staying on site then it’s pay once and use as many times as you like after. We ate at The Cow twice whilst we were here and the food was great, service was spot on and for a reasonable price as well. We had a great time here and we’ll definitely be making a return visit, albeit we’ll probably try a lodge next time round. Thanks for having us!

Just incredible. Perfect for the dog and the toddler and us adults! We had such a fab time and will be back next year for sure. Chloe was awesome 😎

Lovely location. Outside space was perfect for the kids. Plenty of space for outdoor activities. Nothing like we’ve stayed in before, kids loved it. Nice and quiet. The pigs in the field next to the tent came right over for belly rubs! Nice and clean inside and has everything you need. Would definitely return. 10/10

Great place to stay. Handy to have the use of small kitchen and shower. Pleasant surroundings waking up to birdsong. Even saw a red squirrel hopping through the trees. Would definitely return. Thanks Clare

Ruth’s tents were amazing, really comfy and she goes the extra mile to ensure a truly special experience. Clean, luxurious and the added touches make it extra special. Can’t recommend them higher.

A really superb stay, the best camping setup that I’ve ever had. The facilities were brilliant, the woods were great, secluded but easy to get to, and there are really good local villages with a range of pubs. We hired the electric bikes too, which were awesome. We’re already planning to go back.

Zoe's bell tent was beautiful ly set up with everything we needed for a great camp weekend. The tent was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The fire pit and private view was fantastic and the kitchen that was converted for a horse cart made it perfect for an camp weekend we all went had to do was arrive.

Lovely tent, the linen smelled really fresh (wasn't sure what to expect in a tent). We recommend bringing extra warm clothes as it was colder in the tent at night than we expected as it had been warm in the day, but of course it's nearly Autumn. The site was peaceful with a few bits for younger kids to do. We were suprised by the composting toilets but they were clean and easy to use. Loved the goats.

My parents stayed in the bell tent for the weekend and loved it! They said check in was quick and it was very clean and peaceful! They would defiantly go back! Also very close to Silverstone!

Visited this site with my adult nieces and 2 grandsons under 7. We also took the dog. Clear instructions to get there It was lovely and peaceful. We wanted the camping experience off grid and surely got it We all loved the shower on the hottest day of the year. Only tiny thing is take your own bits. We needed more plates snd cups as 5 of us. Plus own washing liquid. A rookery error as first time I’ve done camping for years. I took a frying pan and pan too. The surroundings are gorgeous. The shower from the tree just an adventure. We loved it.Thank you you for having us. Very tired grandsons and puppy who’s run his little legs over the field. Xxx

We stayed for 6 nights in May half term in one of the Safari tents for our first glamping holiday (we had done camping before we had kids), it is idyllic. We are a family with 2 young children (5 and 18 months) in addition my 79 year old father came with us as well as our dog. There was plenty of room for us all in the tent and the facilities were perfect, everything was immaculately presented when we arrived and we had everything we needed. We were out doing something everyday so only used the accommodation during the morning and evening, our only issue was that we couldn't spend a little more time enjoying it! We got lucky with the weather as it only rained on 1 day and that day we were out on Brownsea Island which had good weather, so although it was wet when we returned to the campsite it didn't affect us all that much. The only issue was that since it had been raining during the day and again overnight, that night was noticeably colder than the other nights so we had to start the fire in the wood burner earlier, but we used 2 slow burning bricks in there as per each night and it wasn't really an issue. All instructions and information was clearly laid out, living on a farm is great for the children to enjoy and the honesty shop works really well to allow you to get the basics that you need when you need them. We opted to have some of the homemade pizzas on the first night for convenience, which you need to preorder by 4pm the day before and I would definitely recommend trying these. The staff were incredibly helpful pre, during and post arrival as I enquired if they knew of any local dog boarders since we wanted to spend 2 days doing activities we could not do with our dog. They provided 2 recommendations the one we picked was perfect and allowed us to enjoy our 2 days without worrying about how our dog was. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Safari tents at Gambledown Farm as a fantastic glamping experience for anyone who wants a great staycation with a bit of rustic charm and fantastic access to the New Forest and surrounding attractions.

As a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 girls) we have stayed in a few different AirBNBs but Treescape was our favourite so far. Lucy is the most wonderful host and went above and beyond any other AirBNB host we have had before. She engaged/entertained the children, provided extra toys and activities for them, accompanied them with daily feeding/grooming sessions with the animals and they even got to collect freshly laid eggs from the chickens. They were so well entertained we never left the site for the 3 days we stayed. When it was time to leave we all felt a bit sad as our adventure at treescape was over. The tree tent was beatifully decorated and contained everything you could ever need. The location is stunning with amazing views for miles and gorgeous sunsets. We would throughly recommend Treescape and will definitely be visiting again.

Thank you so much Rachael for a wonderful 2 night stay! The children absolutely loved staying in the tent and the lovely warm swimming pool was the highlight of the weekend. It was peaceful (you do hear the M25 but we soon zoned it out) and our dog, Millie, loved exploring the surroundings. We had all the amenities provided in a very private area but also the luxury of a lovely shower and bathroom. The children have already asked if we can come back next year :)

We had an amazing stay. Beautiful location, very peaceful and private. The nights were quite chilly when we stayed but Georgie was extremely accommodating, making sure we had plenty of blankets and wood for the wood burner to keep us warm. Great hosts whose attention to detail is impeccable, they really couldn’t do enough for us. Our 5 year old loved it too!

A idyllic location, the perfect place for a first glamping experience with my children. A lovely clean and spacious tent with great outdoor activities. Everything needed was provided, plenty of lighting which was really helpful and clean bathroom facilities. The pool was kindly prepared for us and the kids had great fun in this. Really peaceful and beautiful surroundings, a truly gorgeous piece of land. Thank you for having us 🙂

We had an amazing super comfortable stay this last weekend and enjoyed everything about it! The tent was lovely and the beds snuggly and comfy, we asked for our beddings to be provided and all we had to do was arrive, sit back and relax. There are only 4 tents on the site which suited us perfectly and the site is located in a beautiful and very quiet part of the forest. We cooked on the fire and also used the kitchen and the Armadillo barn, you'll find everything you need for a very happy and comfortable stay. We highly recommend Tanya & Andrew's glamping stays, we felt absolutely well cared for while able to enjoy our space peacefully and can't wait to be back.
