The ancient, formerly agricultural building is located in the popular 5-Lakes Region. The family-friendly apartment with an unobstructed view all around has grown into the space between the fir beams under the roof. It offers a living area with kitchen, seating area, wood-burning stove, sofa area and roof loggia, a very low (1.75 m) roof pitch and an unheated playroom in the barn. In the village, you can eat and shop very well. Public transportation runs every 20 minutes to the Voralpenland or 60 minutes to the center of Munich.

The accommodation is a unique experience! But: If you are looking for comfort, perfection or a modern, clean and functional place to stay, you will be disappointed here and should therefore NOT read on (there are more suitable offers for this). . But if you are looking for a unique house with lots of charm and history, and do not mind that it has drafts, that the window is stuck and here and there the plaster is crumbling, you should definitely read on and visit the "Haus am Hügel".

The house on the lake belongs to my wife and me. My son and his wife coordinate the rental for us (co-hosts). The lower apartment in the house is rented, the upper one we use occasionally. We look forward to welcoming you as guests in the upper apartment. The apartment is newly renovated, 100 sqm2 in size, offers plenty of space, light and a view over the lake and the mountains – great to unwind. Hiking, swimming, walking, cycling – Berg is the ideal place for varied vacations in the foothills of the Alps.

Our accommodation is quietly located in the residential area near the forest (3 min) and close to the lake (10 min.). Everything is available in the village. And within walking distance. Beautiful excursions to the mountains, to the lake and to Munich. Wonderful resort. The palace park and beach can be reached in just 10 minutes. Beer gardens and restaurants are easily accessible without a car.

Kneissl vacation home on Lake Starnberg

The Kneissl vacation home is located on the high bank of Lake Starnberg in Allmannshausen, a rural village, about 30 km from Munich and about 50 km from the mountains. Walk to the natural swimming coves on the lake in 10 minutes, for sure-footed walkers, a path through the adjacent forest. Cycling tours, hikes in the area and the mountains about 25 km away are possible.
