The house is super well equipped and cared for. All rooms (the 8) have a toilet. Luisa is super nice and let us check out a little later. The only negative point was the pool being shared with the other house, otherwise everything was perfect :)

It was all according to what we needed and what was in the advertisement. It was a good weekend

Our stay at Vila Aura exceeded our expectations. Myself, my husband, and 5 friends took the weekend to celebrate our elopement and we were assisted with everything along the way. They recommended great add ons like wine tastings and a private chef-which we utilized. The two things that we wish were included was laundry and towels for the pool. If we could've stayed longer, we would've!

Very beautiful farmhouse with beautiful amenities!!! Plenty of spaces and each bedroom has its own large and comfortable bathroom and common room. Great for family or friends get together

We had a fantastic time at Hanna's place. The house is wonderful, a shame that it rained every day, if I had made a little better time we would have taken better advantage of the pool and garden area. Otherwise, everything was great. Hanna's impeccable care. We were all very comfortable.

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

Great place to spend family holidays. Lots of activities and Fun. Great contact with nature. Very friendly and available hosts to make your experience the best. Clean and sanitized place. Great place for large groups. Repeating for sure.

Wow! So much more than the photos show. We were a group of 6 traveling Portugal and added the Douro to the itinerary for beauty and relaxation, we weren’t disappointed. Communication was fantastic, the house is extremely well equipped for cooking and leisure and the beds were really comfortable. Every corner of the house has a wow moment. The surrounding property was beautiful to walk around, none of us wanted to leave for the next leg of our trip. A special mention to Antonia the caretaker who was very helpful and friendly. If you’re planning on touring the wineries and in need of a driver Paulo is fantastic and can be contacted via the host. We will be back.

It was a wonderful weekend. Even the neighborhood was very welcoming. Thanks to Mr. Manuel for the wine and sausage tasting. Firewood ready for heating the house, large spaces such as the living room that was great for meals as well as for playing with the children or conversations with adults. Super creative decor that makes us feel at home. Flexibility in check-in and check-out added more unforgettable moments in the house. We want to go back.

Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

The house is even better than it looks in the photos and description. Large and comfortable, with everything you might need. The outdoor space is great, there were 10 of us and there was space for everyone, the deck has wonderful views where we spent the afternoons and space for the kids to play and play ball. The beds were comfortable and since they were on the top floor, they allowed for a separation from the noise on the bottom floor. Carlos was always available, was a great host, with quick answers and always available. It's a place to return to as a group.

Great place to stay and enjoy :) the host (Sra Adelaide) was amazing, very helpful and responsive. The house is perfectly decorated, very comfortable and with all the amenities needed to enjoy a perfect weekend or longer stays. Would give 6 stars if possible ! Thank you for everything

Very cozy house with everything you need to spend a few days with family or friends. I totally recommend it.

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.

The stay at the Quinta was great. It is worth noting the tranquility of the place, which was very extensive. The kids had a great time, they were able to collect eggs and see a flock of sheep up close. The caretaker's attention was exceptional.

This is a beautiful house set in beautiful surroundings. The gardens are gorgeous and the pool is great. Paulo was very helpful in organising transfers and restaurant bookings as we did not have a car. The house is much bigger than it looks on the photos and easily hosted 10 people. A fantastic stay - I would definitely visit again!

Our stay was very good! The house is cozy, comfortable and perfect for large groups like ours (we were 8 people). It was all very clean and well organized, with all the amenities necessary to make us feel at home. The location is excellent and the host was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Mr. Abrão was always super helpful, introduced us to the house and made it easy for us at check-in. The space was perfect, even better than the photos. The areas of the house are large and spacious, have all the necessary things (well-equipped kitchen, hair dryer, dishwasher and washing machine…) and they even left us a box of coffee as a courtesy There is a barbecue (indoor), billiards, ping pong table, foosball and the heated pool is the icing on the cake. I also want to highlight the cleanliness of the space, which was impeccable. Comfortable beds and pillows. Safe for children and animals. The only negative point was just the network signal, which was weak and did not allow much use of social networks, but this did not affect our experience at Andreia and Mr. Abrão's property. We will recommend it to friends and family and hope to return soon!

We love our stay. We are very grateful to Dona Bernardina e Esposo for the reception and attention throughout the stay. The space is private and ideal for quiet family moments. We hope to come back one day. Thank you for everything.

The place was very good and it had everything it needed. Since we were there in February, we had a little cool the first 2 days until the air conditioning and the wood stove on the lower floor brought warmth into the rooms. But lighting the wood-burning stove was also fun. A tip for the future would be to install modern dehumidifiers on each floor. The outdoor area was very nice with the orange trees and also well maintained, but was not used by us.

Corrou all very well, Hugo has put us at ease... the house is very clean and decorated in detail!! We will return in warm weather to enjoy the wonderful outdoor space!!
