Away from the hustle and bustle of city life Cottage Kille Abbey is the ideal place to wind down and appreciate the natural surroundings. This 200 year old stone cottage is set in half acre of mature garden surrounded by trees. It is the perfect spot for a romantic get away or to just chill out and relax. It is ideally situated to tour all the amenities of the west of Ireland. An area of 80 Sq Mtrs comprises 2 double bedrooms a bathroom with shower toilet and wash basin upstairs. A sunny sitting room with TV and DVD player is also located upstairs. Downstairs there is an open plan dining and well equipped kitchen area complete with dish washer gas cooker with oven and fridge. There is a wood burning stove which runs the central heating. A quirky home from home

Some lovely walks "Knockma" - hill walk, Inismacatreer a lake side walk and Cong's Ard na Gaoithe. Our home is a great base for touring Connemara. Galway city is just 20km away with a host of wonderful site seeing opportunities and fabulous restaurants. Galway's iconic Blackrock diving tower is a must for sea swimmers and of course home to some fabulous restaurants

Staying at Tom (and Mark's) home was an absolute highlight of our trip to Ireland. From the moment we arrived, Tom welcomed us with warmth and kindness (and Whiskey!), making us feel right at home. He is not only the sweetest man but also an exceptional host and conversationalist, with stories and recommendations that made our stay even more memorable. The atmosphere in his home is authentic and truly magical, capturing the essence of Ireland perfectly. And the breakfasts—wow! Each morning, we were treated to delicious, homemade meals and French press coffee that set the perfect tone for our day. Tom's hospitality made our trip to Ireland truly unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Kay was extremely friendly and welcoming. The home was spotless the space was comfortable. Upon arrival we had jetlag and took a nap that passed dinner hour. We awoke hungry but to late to go out. Kay was so generous to provide us with a few refreshments and provisions to tie us over till morning. That was well beyond expectations. A gentle suggestion would be for the host to post their house rules in the listing. With a conservation mindset, the host suggested a very short time limit on showers, which was impossible to achieve if cleansing hair and full body. Otherwise, an absolute exceptional stay.

If you are looking for a perfect location walkable to Tuam city center with fabulous hosts in a breathtaking home look no further. My stay was peaceful, quiet, scenic, and also a lot of fun as both Majella and Arthur were friendly and helpful. It was exactly what I needed and I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a convenient location with easy access to all of West Ireland. 10/10
