Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Beccles

Dunwich is a beautiful seaside village with an interesting history. Beach was good (by North Sea standards but be sure to either have feet like old boots or preferably a pair of swimming shoes. The house is perfect for a family get as ours was with grandparents, maiden aunts, youngish couple and a toddler. Everything you could need and more.

Jasmine cottage was a most wonderful place to stay! Shelly's attention to detail was much appreciated and it's clear to see why she is a superhost! We spent a fabulous week in Suffolk, made all the better by our stay at Jasmine cottage. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage at every opportunity! Thank you Shelly!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. Marian was a fabulous host and also Michelle, who oversees the running of Old Chapel House. We arrived to find the table in the kitchen all set out for dinner. Great fun was had in the evening playing croquet in the fabulous garden and then games around the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in each of the rooms was a lovely touch. Knowing one of my sons was home for our family wedding at Waxham Barn, Marian had arranged an Australian pineapple cake for us to enjoy, together with locally sourced marmalade and apple juice. It was also helpful to find plenty of items such as tea, coffee, condiments etc. My one request to my family was for a slice of sourdough bread, delivered on the Saturday morning, be left for me after having my hair and makeup done. Sadly, it had all been demolished! The house clearly was a previously well loved family home. We had a fantastic stay and will most definitely be returning.

Great find! Was really impressed with this place and it was perfect for what we needed for the weekend. Had everything you could think of, even toys and games for children, as well as a complimentary basket of goodies for us when we arrived! We enjoyed the juke box the most and listened to lots of songs on there! The house fitted 7 of us comfortably and was very clean! Lee was very proactive and ensured we had a great stay - thank you!

A beautiful, spacious and quirky house. Many historic features kept in the renovations but nothing too precious so the children (aged 9-12) were able to play inside & out. The huge kitchen/dinner/lounge made a great family space to eat or chill out with plenty of furniture for all ten of us. We all enjoyed pottering about in the river behind the house in the little boat & Toby lent us a bigger boat & kayaks for a longer trip in a better part of the river. We toasted marshmallows over the fire pit, cooked pizza in the pizza oven & watched bats flying over the water in the evenings. Good beaches & a cinema are only half an hour drive away and the Emmaus charity shop & cafe (10min in the car, 45min walk) is well worth a visit. Good biscuits in the kitchen when we arrived was a nice touch.

We had the most lovely family holiday here. With a 3 and 1 year old this property had everything we needed to make us feel all feel right at home. A cot, high chair, bib, black out binds, you name it. The river and decking at the bottom of the garden was just so peaceful, our go to spot. We watched nesting swans and ducks, we all loved it. Thank you Hannah for having us. You have a beautiful Airbnb!!

We booked Oak Barn to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with all the family. We were blessed with a long weekend of beautiful weather. In fact it was so nice that we ate nearly all our meals al fresco in the garden which was fully enclosed meaning that our two dogs could wander in and out of the house. Rosie thoughtfully messaged us when we arrived to give us pointers on how to keep the house cool. The Barn is spacious and spotlessly clean with quality bed linen, towels and toiletries provided. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The layout in the house is perfect for extended or multigenerational families. It’s situated in a quiet country lane but within a few minutes you can be in Wroxham and the coast within half an hour. There was an excellent house manual with lots of suggestions for things to do but the weather was so warm that we tended to stay fairly local. All in all this was one of the best properties we have stayed in.

Just finished a very relaxing few days and it was everything we could have hoped for. Stunning view and so peaceful! Caravan had everything we needed. Spotless and clean. So sad to leave and am already wondering when I could next come and stay. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you Sara.

We had such a lovely time. Location was peaceful and the accommodation was perfectly placed for planned activities and so close to the beach. Inside was clean and lovely and warm and Hannah was fantastic at answering any questions very quickly and also making sure we were settled in. Thank you.

Absolutely stunning, booked the caravan for my 20th birthday, weekend away with friends. Richard and Allison were absolutely brilliant and very helpful gave us lots of recommendations from days before checking in so it was very easy for us to properly plan this trip. Very clean and this is the first caravan i see with so many activities, so well arranged so many utensils, so much room around and beautiful space to relax outside. Only thing that was a bit annoying but it’s absolutely noones fault is that if you leave bin bags outside there are seagulls that will come straight away and make a mess. we had to clean it up 2 days in a row so just to keep in mind either leave it on or take it straight to the big bins. There’s nothing to point out about the caravan or hosts everything was better than expected! Thank you Richard and Allison!😍

We found Abbie's place was perfect for our weekend away. Its very comfortable, great location for dog walks and the local Chinese delivered, highly recommend Royal China 👌🏾 the kitchen had all we needed, the shower was great and the bed was really comfy. Pakefield Beach is a 10 min drive and is a lovely sandy beach. Abbie was great with communication and we really appreciated the late check out. We will definitely be looking to return.

We had a lovely stay at Helen’s place near Oulton Broad for 3 nights with the kids and the dog. Lovely little attention to detail with dog treats and dog bowls left out, also some treats for the humans. Thanks!

We have had a lovely week at David’s cottage. It has everything you could need and more. We loved the kitchen and the garden. The locations great we have really enjoyed the week thanks for having us ⭐️

Philip was a great host, he left us some welcome treats at the house and kept in touch to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The house was spotless and had everything you could need. It was a home away from home. Only a short walk to the beach which was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend!

We had a brilliant stay at Tom and Sophie’s. It was a great location with the village shop (with cooked food) and very well stocked and the playground being highlights. Thank you again for having us.

This is a tastefully furnished beautifully decorated home. It was also spotlessly clean. It’s only a 15 minute walk into Beccles. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Had a great stay here with my dog, it was very quiet, great proximity to the the beach, we walked to beach at 4am every morning to see the sunrise. Bed was absolutely comfy, had everything I needed, kitchen was well equipped for what I needed, I didn't cook though, ate out or ordered take away. Used chalet as a base to explore the area, would definitely come back if I coming back to the area.

we had a wonderful overnight stay at Gary's air B&B, he was super helpful and even messaged to tell us we had left out refillable bottle behind. lovely little place with a farm feel with wild rabbits running in the fields and horses next door.

Nikki and Mike have created a wonderful retreat. First impressions were of a peaceful, beautifully decorated tiny cottage, in a quiet location, with lots of birds in the pretty and secluded back garden. Our holiday was started in style with a delicious welcome pack, and there are a bunch of nearby shops and supermarkets to stock up from. There are plenty of walks from the house, and just a short drive each to Southwold and Beccles, for lovely beaches and great river walks and boat hire. Just a little further away is Norwich with lovely shops and restaurants and an amazing cathedral. Lots of guide books and brochures plus maps will give you inspiration for your stay. The accommodation has all you'll need for a stay, everything is thought of, with lovely sheets and pillows and a super comfy bed. The underfloor hearing was terrific. We didn't use the log burner, but when we come back in winter it'll get lit! We felt very welcome, a bit spoiled, and very lucky to have found this gem.

This was the perfect little place for our small weekend escape. It had everything we needed and the large green space out back was great for relaxing in the sun with the dog. Arrival and parking was made super simple and easy, as was packing up and returning the key.

An absolutely perfect place to stay in Beccles. Exactly as per photos. Easy to find,central to so many places -even without a car. Spotlessly clean,with everything you could think of.
