Luxury cottage with hot tub - Barnard Castle

NatalieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Julia was a brilliant host from booking until check out! The cottage was absolutely stunning and so was the surrounding areas. Julia was very friendly and helpful, we went as a group of work friends and was being a little too loud without realising, Julia was understanding and just politely asked if we could quieten a little outside due to neighbours, to which we apologised and enjoyed our night. I would definitely return in the future, hopefully with the family for a longer stay. Thank you so much Julia!!!!!

Gallowgate Cottage

BenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful little cottage not far from Richmond centre. It’s on a steep hill but we didn’t mind the exercise as we had a dog with us and after a days eating and drinking you needed to walk it off! The only thing that lets the property down is the parking, we had a neighbour across the street in the cul-de-sac estate complain to us asking (are you from that cottage?!) to which we politely replied yes and they then rambled about how they were sick of the parking here as it’s an estate for old people etc, did not really know what to say or where to put ourselves with not being from the area, but don’t let that put you off the cottage and the location and surroundings are beautiful, Hannah is responsive and gets back to you with any questions straight away. We will stay again!

Beautiful 5 star 2 bedroom cottage with hot tub.

LeanneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Butterfly Cottage 5*rated, Balcony, stunning views

AnneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We spent two lovely nights in the butterfly cottage. Bruce and Anita were gracious and helpful hosts, providing information and suggestions about what to do and where to go. Walks from the cottage were abundant when weather permitted. Treats left by Anita were appreciated and devoured! Cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and cozy. We will come back if we are traveling in the area again. Highly recommend butterfly cottage.

The Hemmel, Old Town Farm

RobertRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Could not fault The Hemmel at all. Absolutely beautiful. The accommodation, surroundings and view was exceptional. Ezra our labradoodle loved the enclosed garden. From the greeting off Kate, the beautiful homemade cake and flowers left for us, watching the red squirrel and the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and beaches, there was nothing we did not like about our stay. If we decide to come back to this neck of the woods, this would be our first pick. Five stars and beyond.

Cosy one bedroom cottage near Barnard Castle

AlanRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Perfect! Exactly what we wanted, the cottage was pristine and equipped to a high standard with everything you need. Although dogs are welcome you would never know that a dog had been anywhere near. The location is secluded and peaceful with great views with horse stables next door and horses in the field. Swallows nesting in the stables constantly flying around. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs to wander freely safely. Joanna is a great friendly host responsive and only too happy to help. Would highly recommend!

Old Stone Cottage, Durham

LauraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lynnes property was such a great find. It offered us (four adults, two children, one dog), such a great place to base ourselves for our week away. The house is much bigger than it looks in the photos and it has everything you need including loads of useful items for small children (toys, plates/ bowls, toilet seat etc.). We definitely recommend Lynnes place.

Spacious 2 bed detached cottage, nr Barnard Castle

DanielRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Anna was a perfect host, quick to respond to any questions. The cottage is in a great location with lovely views overlooking the fields. The cottage itself was nice and cosy, well laid out with all the facilities that you'd need. Everything was clean and easy to find. The welcome card and hamper was a nice touch. There are lots of walks around, we had two spaniels, we took them around the village and on the old Teesdale railway line. We also went up to High and Low Force waterfalls which is only a 15 min drive away. A great weekend stay despite the Saturdays weather. Would definitely book again if we go to the area.

Beautiful little luxury cottage for two in Durham

MattRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The perfect place for a weekend getaway! Lots of great places to see in the area. Addy’s cottage had everything we could have needed and more. We made good use of the fully equipped kitchen but had some great recommendations for places to eat out nearby too. The cottage is a clean and cosy space and we couldn’t have asked for more! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

High Pasture beautiful cottage - stunning location

JonathanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We (2 adults + 2 children) stayed at High Pastures cottage from 14 Nov - 21 Dec 2024 whilst waiting for our onward house purchase to complete. From the outset Peter was responsive and flexible with our changing itinerary which was much appreciated. The cottage was exactly what we needed - the kitchen has all the modern accessories you'd expect and the living room was spacious and always warm despite being in rural surroundings over the winter. The views from the cottage are breath taking and there are some great walks from the cottage right into the middle of beautiful countryside. Within a couple of minutes drive there are great pubs and restaurants. 20 mins drive east you have Newcastle and 20 mins drive west you have Hexham. We were able to continuing living our lives as normal (my wife and I commuting to work - Newcastle and Sunderland) and the children continuing at their schools. We're hugely grateful to Peter and his wife for making this possible for us. Thank you!

It a little journey to Hexham but there is plenty to do there with lovely shops and cafés. We love Northumberland and have been going with our family every year for the last 13 years. We didn't want to come home

Cosy Cottage Low Fell + Off Street Parking

AndyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great Airbnb, very clean, with good facilities, very comfortable, perfect for two, with the benefit of secure parking behind electric gates. We used it to visit our son and girlfriend in Newcastle over a weekend. Our hosts were fantastic with communication, giving great directions and always responding promptly to our messages. A welcome gift of food essentials was waiting for us on arrival (bread milk eggs etc), which was a lovely touch. Located outside Newcastle, this was ideal for us and a short Uber trip into the city was less than £8, far better than the hassle of driving and paying for parking. Additionally, Low Fell had plenty of places for eating and drinking and was only a 10 minute walk from the accommodation. Will definitely use this Airbnb in the future if visiting Newcastle. Thanks Holly and Chris.
