Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bayfield County

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

What a cute place! Quaint clean and so much better than a hotel. Place to stretch out at the end of the day. Walking distance to the lake. When coming back, I’d stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfortable, we watched a DVD she had, there were lots of interesting books, we could walk to downtown, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals there. We felt right at home!

We really enjoyed our stay. It is in the city but very peaceful location. No city noise at all. We will be staying there again.

Had a great trip to Iron River WI! We go to Wisconsin frequently and Debbie’s place was perfect. She was very accommodating, and the house was spotless. It had everything and more than we needed for our trip. We will be back.

Pete and Tanya were very helpful for our stay. It was supposed to be a snowmobile trip but the weather quickly took a turn. They were very helpful in letting us know the conditions and suggested alternatives.

Very nice house. Big enough for our big family of eight. Very close to central part of town and very close to Bad River Reservation. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place.

Perfect location if looking to stay in Bayfield area. Everything need a very short walk and very quiet street.

We loved our stay at Sandra’s place. It is even so much cuter and cozier in person! We were so comfortable and felt at home. It had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. We hiked and explored during the days and relaxed at night. The sunsets. at the beach just down the street were amazing. The general store down the street is adorable, I would highly recommend. Sandra’s attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We are looking forward to a return in the future!

We spent the holiday weekend here celebrating my parents 60th birthday. The place was clean, cozy, and in a great location. Walkable to everything and nice that it had its own parking spot. The were extremely responsive to any questions/concerns we had and were very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway to Bayfield!

Viv greeted us in person the evening we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, used the charcoal grill each evening, and slept well on the very comfortable mattress.

Felt very comfortable in this quiet, lovely neighborhood with great hosts. The hilly streets made me think of San Francisco a bit so we used our car even to go downtown where parking was not a problem. Highly recommend St James Social for Sunday brunch and delicious coffee specialties. Don’t miss the spectacular Dobson Garden across from the Brownstone Trail by the marina. Also, music dockside while enjoying fish & chips at Hoop’s is a must. Madeline Island has a fabulous beach so allow time for this. If you take the Apostle Island cruise, avoid sitting by the water’s edge topside if you want to hear the captain’s narration! Sorry to miss the lighthouse tour. We came too early in the season. So glad we visited Bayfield & surrounding area!

This was such a great stay - quick walk to the ferry and downtown, yet just those few blocks away where you also feel like you're in some peace and quiet. You could see Lake Superior from the patio and the neighborhood was lovely and safe. The on-site host, Diane, was an absolute gem. She was so kind and gave me great suggestions on places to dine and sites to see. My dog also took to her immediately, so you know she's good people :) The place had everything I needed and was reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in Bayfield.

Pearl and Jim are great hosts, very easygoing and always helpful. The apartment is the lower unit, exactly as described. From the great window in the main room to the wonderful deck, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space, everything worked well. The garden and lawn that lead down to a small private beach are beautifully landscaped. The apartment was spotless and comfortable.

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.

This was our second stay here. The hosts are helpful and responsive. We were so comfortable and the place is so central. We love it!

Anna's apartment was absolutely beautiful. It was so clean. There are cute ice trays in the freezer which I very much enjoyed. The apartment is very bright and beautiful with it's tall ceilings. The apartment is next to a bar, but there is a noise machine and a TV in the bedroom to help with noise, that wasn't even that bad. I will definitely be recommending her place to anyone who plans on going to the Chequamegon Bay area.

Jon's place was great for me and my wife with our 2 small dogs. we were the first renters of the season and there wasn't any coffee, so Jon immediately gave me a $15 refund. great directions for hiking trails, nice quiet place and great location for visiting the Apostle islands. we would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay here! We had 9 women staying for a girls trip and there was plenty of space for us all if you don’t mind sharing a room. Everyone got their own bed! The entire condo was super clean too. I appreciated that the fridge and freezer were totally empty when we arrived - I don’t love when Airbnbs keep condiments in the fridge from previous guests. I will miss having coffee in the morning from the balcony, the view is incredible and the sun hits the patio all morning. We loved that within 5 minutes we could walk to dinner, shopping, the Madeline island ferry, and our sailing outing. We didn’t have to use our cars once all weekend! Parking was easy. We cooked dinner in the kitchen one night and found it well stocked. Lots of towels were provided in bathrooms. We used the TV to stream music and movies easily as well. The fireplace was used on evening as well and was nice and cozy. My only feedback would be to provide a few more rolls of TP and get a larger coffee pot!

The apartment was actually nicer in person than we had anticipated from the pictures. The location was very convenient and within walking distance of almost everything in LaPointe. The member of our group who had lived in New Orleans especially appreciated the Cajun seasoning left in the cupboard!

Cozy and comfortable condo a few blocks from every thing in Bayfield. Very clean everywhere, and a comfortable bed. Easy walk to the ferry, restaurants, and local hiking trails. Many cool shops and restaurants to explore. Beautiful views and colors in mid-October. Amanda was very helpful and responsive in fixing a TV connection problem. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were there 6 days / 5 nights. Loved the cabin, the lake, conveniently included boat and kayaks. Close to the nearest town, Iron River, but not too close. The perfect vacation. Air BnB wants me to list both pros and cons; the ONLY cons i can think of is there wasn't stairs leading off the back porch, so its a big step. Not that big of a deal at all. And the other thing would be the bathroom layout. It would be more comfortable if the sink and toilet locations were swapped. As is, the toilet puts the user right up against the wall and door, but that's being real nit-picky. Honestly, we loved everything about our stay and will book again in the future. Thank you for everything!
