Places to stay in Bayeux

This is in the heart of town. The bars and restaurants are very close. This did not bother me, but if you are a light sleeper, you may want to look elsewhere. The building is old, but has a certain charm. I would stay there again.

As others have mentioned this is an excellent holiday flat and superb base from which to explore Normandy and the beautiful city of Caen. The flat is clean, comfortable and is very well equipped for self-catering though the nearby town center bars and restaurants may tempt you out at little more that you planned. Highlights include secure and convenient parking, excellent bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and the bonus of a lovely private garden to kick back while sampling the local calvados in the evening. As mentioned the flat is very central with a five minute walk into the center for fresh bread and croissants in the morning. Caen itself is full of surprises with beautiful churches and abbeys combined with a very laid back atmosphere. Though we did not meet Christine her ongoing communication was both discrete and charming. Book you wont regret it. 5 stars all round

Claire & Pascal’s home was absolutely perfect for our family’s stay in Normandy. Quiet location that is within a very short drive of all the major WW2 attractions. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Games and books for the kids, and a cute yard for them to play in. Everything was exceptionally clean, there were plenty of amenities and we truly felt right at home! Pascal greeted us upon our arrival, checked on us throughout our stay and saw us off when we left. Fantastic host! If we have the opportunity to return to Normandy, we would absolutely stay here again!

We had an incredible stay at this beachfront Airbnb! The location is absolutely unbeatable — you literally open the back gate and step right onto the sand. It was such a treat to wake up and be at the beach within seconds. The house itself was spotless and really well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, and the bathroom was stocked with all the essentials. The kids loved the dedicated room and play area — it made the whole stay even more relaxing for us. It’s hard to find a place that offers this kind of location and comfort at such great value. We’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

This location was so beautiful. The house was well equipped with everything you could need. Isabelle and Bernard were great hosts and made us feel quite welcome. The location of their home and the beautiful city of Bayeux were like a scene from a Hallmark movie. There was plenty of room for our family of 5. I highly recommend this trip and this home!

Had a fantastic stay, Sophie is a wonderful host, always available with a vast knowledge of the area. The apartment had everything we needed. Would and most likely stay there again.

Location, location, location! Frank's place is just awesome. I wish I stayed longer to enjoy the town. Close to all the D-day sites and cute restaurants, bakeries, and a grocery store is less than a 5 min walk away. Great views. I definitely recommend Frank's place and will stay here again.

Beautiful home in the beach in a historic place! Home was warm and cozy with beach access and restaurants/shops are walkable. Would definitely stay again!

Apartment was perfectly located in Bayeux. Quiet yet close to restaurants , tapestry and collection point for tours It was clean and had a music speaker available Bedroom was fine for size and shower was excellent Free parking was a few minutes away at Charles de Gaulle place though can be tricky to get a spot

A wonderful, clean and charming place to stay with helpful hosts just off the city center. The location is fantastic - easily walkable to museums and restaurants in the center of town. At the same time it is a quiet spot. The guest house is well kept with charming features. Olivier and Beatrice were so kind and helpful. They met us for check in and gave us a tour of the house and told us where things where, asked if we needed any help. Later when we had a problem with our train tickets, they helped us understand. I fully recommend staying here!

We had a short but truly lovely stay! A perfect place for our family--we could all spread out a bit after a week sharing hotel rooms. Loved the location--the views were charming. Proximity to Bayeux was excellent--less than a five minute drive to the town center parking lots. Very clean, clear instructions, and thoughtfully stocked kitchen (though we didn't cook!). We'd definitely return. Thank you for a great stop on our road trip.

This is the greatest property! I would come back to Bayeux just to stay in this house again!! My family and I all loved it!! So cute! The property is so charming!!

Beatrice’s house was great! It is conveniently located between the town center of Bayeux and a huge grocery store. The garden yard is beautiful and amazing. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and the decor had a warm, maximalistic feel. The master bathroom was efficient and equipped with commode, sink, and shower. The second bath is really two half baths, one half has a sink & tub with a hand shower, but the commode is in a small room down the hall. Nevertheless, this is a great place to stay in Bayeux!

This charming place is PERFECT for your stay in Bayeux! It is close to everything and Paula, the host, is so friendly and helpful. She helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations (highly recommend L’Angle Saint Laurent and Drakkur) and even helped us get a taxi to the train station. Her place is so unique and quiet. We slept so well after two long days of seeing all the sights of the Normandy area. Do not hesitate to books this place. It is a fantastic value and Paula is the best!!

Had a very nice stay in Bayeux, great central location, short walk to Bayeux Tapestry and dday tour gathering location. Nice amenities / full kitchen for cooking. Good WiFi. Nice bathroom and shower and great to have laundry. Dedicated parking spot very nice to have.

Great central location but free parking limited. Local parking expensive and time limited. We did find free parking not too far away but had to look for it. Overall though, this was a great place to base yourself for exploring all the D-Day beaches, cemeteries and local attractions. We recommend visiting at least one of the Commonwealth grave sites, so beautifully kept and much more personal than the impressive American cemetery.
