Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Bay Islands Department

This was our 2nd time staying on this property in less than a year. The 1st time we spent a month in the house that was behind this one and this time we stayed a week. Both houses were close to the beach, cozy, safe and very nice. We walked to 2 of the close resorts for activities and meals. We also walked to the grocery store as well. Pauli is an amazing host and will not disappoint you when you choose to stay here. She picked us up at the airport and took us grocery shopping both times as well. We highly recommend visiting one of her properties.

Our stay was a truly wonderful experience. From the first moment, we felt right at home thanks to the attention we received. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations, standing out for its comfort, cleanliness and care in every detail We took away an unforgettable memory and we definitely recommend it. It's a place we hope to return to in the future

Dwayne was very helpful and friendly at check in, and the house and property were as described. We stayed with our two boys (10, 12) and felt safe with the locked gates. Bed was comfortable and the boys reported that both futons were very comfortable as well. We really enjoyed being able to use the kayak and SUP. Killer beachfront sunset views right from the porch! Washing machine was a definite plus when traveling with kids. Easy walk to the excellent 314 for coffee or Dragonfly Sushi. Would recommend staying here!

We had a great time at Laura’s house, very spacious inside and out, had everything you might need during your stay and its right in front of the beach with a wonderful view! Also special thanks to Angel, the concierge, he was very kind and helped us out with everything on time!

Really enjoyed Casa de YOLO! House was spacious, clean and had most everything we needed. There is construction of houses going on around the space but it didn’t disturb us too much. Definitely recommend communicating with Traci or the propriety manager Cheryl ahead of time as the first day finding the house was a bit difficult. Also you’ll want to rent a bigger car as one of the main roads leading to the house is gravel.

A week at the Hutton house was relaxing and fun! It was a beautiful house with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were really comfy! The balcony overlooking the water and the reef was incredible! We watched fish, conch, sea urchins, even a stingray from the swings and hammock every day. The snorkeling right off the house was great! We walked over to the Reef House next door almost every day for lunch. Steve was really helpful to set us up with Ned, a local dory boat driver for a ride and a tour of the nearby mangroves. Victor and Marta, the caretakers were lovely and though they were available if we needed anything, they were not at all intrusive. Would definitely recommend!

We had an incredible stay at Ocean Breeze! Jerri was so informative, helpful, and responsive. George and Mabel made us feel like family and ensured we had everything we needed. Definitely have Mabel and Sami cook for you! We loved being able to walk right off the pier in front of the house and snorkel every day- the reef is fantastic. It was great having the Reefhouse right next door as well. The house is well stocked, laid out well, AC in the bedrooms is cool, and the view is stunning. Just for awareness, we are a large family and the extra bedrooms are in an apartment-style down a path behind the house. It is close by, but a couple of our kids had to sleep over there and that might not work for everyone. Also the house is 45 min at least from West Bay, but we actually preferred the location of the house to the more touristy side of the island. Everyone we met was so kind, we were well cared for, and we had a great mix of fun and relaxation. Thank you!

This is a great place to stay. The big beautiful house , very nice fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need for cooking , big dining tables (indoor and outdoor) , convenient kitchen island, big outdoor grill . Rooms with baths nice and clean. Tropical garden with fruits ans flowers, beautiful swimming pool,sun-loungers,hammock. Outdoor area was nicely landscaped and daily maintained. The Watchmen or better to say security guard watch the property from the dusk till the dawn. The host was very nice and helpful if you need any help or something special ( like our friends wanted to have ceramic instead of Teflon coated pan – they got it a brand new instantly !) There is a special bonus for Ham Radio enthusiast – The fully equipped Ham Radio shack of HQ9X.Two Icom radios with two Alpha 99 amplifiers ,rotary tribander beam 10m-15m-20m and Verticals for 40m, 80m and 160m provides endless pileups 24/7.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. It's a short walk to the beach and very private and quiet. We enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds and butterflies in the garden, and the plunge pool was refreshing on hot afternoons. We made breakfasts in the fully equipped kitchen and had great dinners out that were walking distance or a short taxi ride away. The perfect place for a relaxing week at the beach in Roatan.

A quiet place to stay in West End. The dock was handy - we hired a local boat captain to take us snorkeling and he came right to the dock to pick us up. The pool is cold and refreshing. A restaurant on either side of the condo when you don't feel like walking the 4-5 minutes into West End. Fresh drinking water and ice was plentiful. We ran the AC every night to cool the place off. Unless the front door is open, the breeze doesn't go through. The bedroom by the front door was stuffy - hence the oscillating floor fan. Altogether quite pleasant.

Michi is a wonderful host, and the home is beautiful with a lovely pool. If I have the chance to return to Roatán, I would definitely stay here again. I drove a small car and had no issues, even on the rough roads. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The house is fabulous; over 4,000 ft of outdoor deck space, small private pool, well appointment kitchen, and 2 seperate king size sleeping units with ensuite. It's a unique house design and it's perfect for 2 couples. The shared outdoor living area is covered and has comfy furniture and outdoor tv screens. The kitchen is well appointed with great appliances and gadgets for days. Living wise, the only negative comment is the giant wooden bar stools are very uncomfortable and awkward for dining inside, which is often necessary as that's the buggy time of the day. The house is NOT walkable to the beach and a car is absolutely necessary to navigate the very steep road to the top of the hill. But, once you are at the house, the absolute privacy of the forest, makes it all worth it. Sitting on the deck with just the hummingbirds for company, is sublime. Palmetto Bay is a very friendly little, gated community with great security. Huge shout out to Carolina the concierge for all her help!

Our first time to Roatan and we will be back. As luck would have it, this Airbnb is literally the best location possible. It’s in a quiet cove 3 minutes walk from West Bay and joined the family land for Gumbalimba Park on the other side. West End is walkable about 15 minutes or a 3 minute water taxi. The unit itself is as described and the property manager was very helpful regarding a couple issues we had. We rented a car for the week and were glad we did, there is covered parking at the condo.

We had a wonderful time. The beach is one of my favorites. Mornings on the beach are exquisite. Views from the rooms are absolutely stunning. Feihvean is the onsite manager. He’s outstanding.

Alessandro has an amazing home. The amenities are great.The location is key as well it’s very walkable. Alessandro provided great communication. Highly recommend, I would definitely stay there again if I get the chance to go back !

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Casa, it was exactly what we were looking for, not separate hotel rooms but an environment where we could be with family and enjoy some private time as well. Our whole family really enjoyed the stay. The house really is beautiful. Very happy with the amazing hospitality provided by Marnie and her crew. Will definitely pass down the information to family and friends.

We had an amazing stay at this tranquil cottage in Roatán. It was peaceful and surrounded by nature and right by the beach, which made it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The cottage itself was clean, sunny, and cozy. We especially loved the beautiful view and snorkeling from the dock — it felt like a true escape from the world. The hosts were kind, responsive, and gave great local tips. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway in paradise!

Rosalina and Sonny are amazing hosts! They picked us up from the airport and brought us back after our stay. This is above and beyond what many hosts do. The cabin had a clean and cozy feel. Very clean considering the sand and being right on the water. The kayaks were available to use, no fee. We had a lovely stay in paradise. It’s a beautiful location and private.

The home is even more stunning in person than in the photos. The master bedroom is spacious and gorgeous, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The downstairs bedrooms are a bit darker, but our kids didn’t mind at all—they absolutely loved their space. One of the highlights of our trip was being able to snorkel right off the front of the house, which was an amazing experience. We also booked a snorkeling trip with Joe, who picked us up right from the house by boat and took us to swim with nurse sharks—an unforgettable adventure! The road leading to the house is unpaved, but we had no trouble getting there in a small SUV—just take it slow. The airport is about 30 minutes away, and Eldon’s grocery store is a convenient 15-minute drive. Dave, the property manager, was always nearby and super helpful whenever we needed anything.

Vanessa responded quickly to solve our minor problems and she was very flexible. We had a great stay.
