Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Bay Islands Department

We had a wonderful time at Cocolobo! The room was just as described. It’s quaint, cozy, and a touch kitschy. The view was outstanding. We saw all kinds of wildlife from the comfort of the porch— hummingbirds, geckos, a big green iguana, a kingfisher, agoutis, rabbits, bats, island deer, butterflies. The AC cooled the room down quickly, so it was no problem to only turn it on when we came back for the evening. The resort is peaceful and beautifully landscaped. It’s a short, safe, and well-lit 10-15 minute walk into West End for the beach, restaurants, and stores. Cheryl and Gail were so lovely, friendly, and accommodating, providing us with plenty of information and arranging transportation to the airport. We only stayed 2 nights, but I think Cocolobo would especially excel for longer stays. We didn’t have time to cook, but the kitchen was impressively equipped. It also seemed like a nice community develops among the guests. Definitely recommend!

Nice place with great pool, hot shower (takes about 2-3 minutes to get hot water), AC works well, bed is comfy. You must like cats if you wish to prepare and eat meals at the outdoor kitchen. There are 4 of them. They insist on sampling anything you put on the table or counter! Dog here and dogs in neighborhood are sometimes quite noisy. If it rains, road to the pavement becomes quite muddy and slippery. Also, bring a flashlight if you are walking in after sunset. The very steep driveway might be a challenge for some! Wifi is on the slow side, 4 mb/sec download, less than 1 mb upload. Hosts were excellent! Mathieu was quick to respond to any request. Celeste was very pleasant and we could communicate with her on Google translate when needed. At a decent pace, beach is a 12 minute walk. Petrosun is a 4 minute walk and has most essentials. I'd recommend Eldin's for real shopping which is close to the airport and a $20 taxi ride away. Overall, a nice, safe, pleasant place to stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Fisher's Landing Boutique Hotel in Roatan! If you're looking for the perfect place to relax and recharge, this is it. The oceanfront views, stunning pool with cozy day beds, and peaceful vibe were everything we hoped for. Dustin and Tracy are incredible hosts—warm, welcoming, and so accommodating. They go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable, offering great local recommendations and helping with anything you need. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and super comfortable, with huge walk-in closets, modern bathrooms, AC, and amazing views. Every morning started with a delicious homemade breakfast. A highlight of our trip was the full-day snorkel tour Dustin and Tracy helped us get on—even though it was almost sold out! They also got us into restaurants that are usually fully booked. The hotel is in a safe, quiet area, a short walk to the beach, with great sunrise views onsite and sunset spots nearby. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you

I am really appreciative of Talia accepting my Puerta Azul reservation at the last minute. My flight was canceled on a carrier that flies yellow planes from San Pedro Sula which required me to book with the largest carrier in the world to get back to the United States. This caused me to desperately need a nice and comfortable place to stay at the last minute since my previous hotels were completely booked. Talia was able to prepare a delicious dinner for me at the last minute of coconut shrimp, rice, and salad which cost $23.00 for one person. She offered filtered mint water for dinner and breakfast and water in a pitcher within the room. The bed and linens were PERFECT!! I had a good nights rest before heading back to the USA. Talia even offers the option of having your clothes washed at Puerta Azul for the price of $10.00 per load. This is definitely a must stay if you are looking for a secluded peaceful location with free breakfast. I feel very lucky to have this opportunity and experience. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay...very responsive and wonderful hosts! The view was gorgeous and the studio was very accommodating. The restaurant downstairs was adorable and excellent breakfast. Only 5 or 10 minutes walk to restaurants, shops and beach. We used the balcony every day just to watch the beautiful view, very peaceful ❤️

Can’t recommend staying here enough!!! It’s close enough to the main strip of west end but far enough away that it’s nice and quiet by the hotel. The free breakfast at the cafe downstairs was a nice added bonus. The AC also was a life saver - not sure we could’ve done it without it. Overall I had 0 issues with the hotel and the staff were always so communicative. TLDR: 10/10 hotel. Would probably book the exact same spot if we’re ever back!
