An absolute gem of a find !! If you are looking for a peaceful, calming, private yet a twenty minute drive from anything you want or need, quality downtime , then this is your spot. The pictures gives you a hint of the breathtaking waterbody but nothing comes close to the reality. Fabulous place ! Highly recommend the host and the property !! We can’t wait to be back !

Roger’s beach house was charming. It was an older-style home with many modern updates. Quick and easy walking path to the beach. The pool in the backyard was lovely. It was a little dirty upon arriving and Roger came right over and got it all cleaned up for us during our stay. The neighborhood was a little rough we did have a few uncomfortable encounters with homeless people being two girls alone it was a little unsettling. Overall, I would definitely come back again. The weather was absolutely beautiful for our stay.

I could not recommend this place and these hosts enough! The place was warm and welcoming and I absolutely love the location. A very peaceful neighborhood with easy bay access. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house had some maintenance problems but at no fault of theirs…just typical house problems and they handled everything extremely well and we were not inconvenienced at all! Also our dog loved the place and they were stocked will all the dog necessities which was very helpful!

We stayed at the cozy beach cottage for a "girls trip" for three busy moms looking for a peaceful retreat for the weekend. The house was just as described - cute, clean, and cozy. We appreciated Kenzi's attention to detail and clear instructions, as well as local restaurant recommendations. This house is one block from the ocean; an easy stroll to watch the sunset from beach. We appreciate that the house had everything we needed and required no tasks for checkout. Thank you Kenzi for allowing us a weekend of rest and relaxation!

Space was perfect for us staying as a family of 6. Bedrooms were great and the home offered plenty of space throughout. Awesome backyard, although we did not really use - very close beach access. Had all the amenities we needed for a long weekend!

With 180 degree water views, what could be better?! We saw birds, incredible sunrises over the bay, and enjoyed sunset in the hot tub. It’s just right for a long weekend getaway to relax and unwind!

A+++ From the front door to the sand is only a football field away! New and pristine house. Host is incredibly responsive. Peaceful and clean beach. Close to shopping and VA beach boardwalk is only 20 minutes. Highly recommended.

We had such an enjoyable trip staying at this perfect cottage. The location was amazing-short walk to a tranquil beach that felt like our own little escape. The landscaping and yard were beautiful! The place felt like a peaceful retreat. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed even a thoughtful welcome basket. It truly was the perfect getaway and just what we needed to recharge. Highly recommend!

We stayed a week at Kerri’s place in Virginia. She went above and beyond our expectations, very communicative and organized. She offered a ton of information and insights before and during our stay. We had an amazing experience at this charming cottage in Norfolk, VA! The location is perfect, with the beach just a few blocks away, allowing us to enjoy the sandy beach during our stay easily. She is, without a doubt, the kindest and most welcoming host we've ever had the pleasure of staying with. Her warmth and genuine care for her guests are evident in every interaction. The cottage is well-maintained, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very clean condo! It’s differently walkable to beach and boardwalk! Very convenient to shops and restaurants. A quiet area.

Great location for walking to the beach and many restaurant options. The beds are comfy and the living room has good seating options (unlike rentals that have only one couch). Kat was very responsive and attentive to our requests. She was great. FYI, Chicos has good pizza and fun atmosphere, Pocahontas Pancakes has great breakfast options and seems to be very popular there. The Shack is a cool outdoor bar. The Irish Pub had live music and fun atmosphere. We would rent again from Kat.

The Laughing King (and the Honeymoon Island Cottage in particular) were fantastic! A wonderful quick getaway from DC for couples. The property is gorgeous - a farm with a historic old house that is the main lodge, surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees, a standalone cottage (that we stayed in for 3 nights), open fields, a saltwater pool, and private beach with dock and a boat and SUPs for guest use. MJ serves up gourmet breakfasts (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, French toast, quiche, etc. over the course of our stay) + coffee in the morning and also dished out recommendations on local spots to visit. 100% will be back!

Rooms were nice, somewhat dated in decor but pleasant. Smaller in person that it appears is photos. Location good as not in the super crowded part of town. Pool area somewhat small for volume of people. Beach is great. AC unit in the larger unit malfunctioned but they came immediately and replaced it! Impressed with the maintenance staff!

We had a great stay - loved being close to the beach and to different restaurants. The condo was very clean, homey, and beautifully decorated. M.J. was a fantastic host, very responsive and friendly. Being new to the area, we appreciated all her recommendations.

The home was easy to find and very clean. We loved the beachfront and peaceful surroundings. We've been to Gloucester before and it is a cute little place to explore and has what you need. I would definitely choose this airbnb again if in the area! Thank you for sharing!

My absolute favorite airbnb ever ! This was the 3rd time I've stayed here, and if I could afford it, I'd go monthly. The location is perfect, right on the water, small private beach, lots of privacy and soooo incredibly relaxing. The house is very well laid out, super clean and comfortable. Keri provides more than most hosts, from the kitchen and bathrooms, to beach gear, movies, books, games, and the kayaks ! I love love love this house and location so very much. It feels like "my" home away from home and I'll continue to go back as much as possible. THANK YOU again Keri, for another amazing getaway !

I’ve been at many Airbnbs all over the world, and Heidi’s Airbnb is the best we’ve stayed at. It wasn’t just the beautiful view… it was all of the thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel more like home. It was very well stocked with quality items. Lots of towels and kitchen items to comfortably live for a few weeks or more. We stayed 24 nights and we were sad to leave. Heidi was always available to resolve any issues that came up. We were there for a stressful competition, and it was a perfect place to recharge. I hope I have the chance to come back. Also breakfast next door and Mexican across the street are so convenient!! I wanted to move there! Thank you Heidi for everything!

Took the family for 2 nights for Easter break. This place was wonderful for the entire family. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much! We hope to be back in the future and I will highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking to Airbnb in the Norfolk area. Beautiful house with gorgeous views!!

Responsive and communicative via AirBnb app. Open to small changes we had to make. Beautiful house and wonderful neighborhood. Everything as described and reasonable price. Truly provided the BnB part of AirBnb with linens, cleaning/cooking supplies, and bathroom supplies. Very scenic. The pictures don't do it justice when it comes to the proximity of the dock. It is right outside the window of the master bedroom.

Responsive even before I booked. As pictured. Accommodated 5 of us very comfortably. Friends stayed one half block up I liked our place much better!
