This little quirky cabin nestled on top of the Mendip Hills is the PERFECT getaway from the everyday hussle and bustle. We built this ourselves and are very proud. The cabin is situated on our Family ran farm and at the top end of our Campsite. The Oakhill Inn is a 10 min walk from the cabin and cook some amazing 5* food including take away pizzas and burgers. With hardly any streetlights around you can enjoy the stars and peace and quiet.

The apartment was very well fitted out, lovely and light and comfortable. Victoria, the host was an excellent communicator and sent very useful information about dining venues and places to see in the vicinity. The only drawback for us being late 70’s was the steepness of the walk up to the town. Nevertheless we had a lovely time and enjoyed the beautiful area.

Amanda’s place was just what we needed: cosy, clean and convenient. We weren’t clear that it was upstairs in the listing, but this didn’t cause a problem. It is excellently located, with many Somerset sights easily accessible. We particularly recommend the Oakhill Inn, which is a two minute walk away from the property with great food and atmosphere. Three generations of our family, plus dog, had a lovely, relaxing stay. Thank you, Amanda!

The Bullpen was a great location for a weekend away with a friend and our children. Beautifully decorated with luxurious touches and very comfortable. The kitchen was well provisioned, we cooked a meal and enjoyed a movie night on the huge comfy sofa with big TV screen. The weather was wild but we managed a walk up to the White Horse (drove from our accomodation).

We had the most amazing stay at The Hideaway. Joe and Sarah were absolutely incredible hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The hideaway itself is absolutely gorgeous. The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved how it was tucked away in its own little nook with fairy lights. The hideaway offered great kitchen facilities and a very well sized TV with Netflix and Prime available. The underfloor heating was a lovely touch. The location is just perfect, you are able to access both Bristol and Bath via car, train, Uber or bus within 20ish minutes. Despite the amazing location close to the cities, the hideaway is extremely private amongst beautiful nature, wildlife and the countryside. We kept forgetting how close we were to the cities! You can also walk to two lovely pubs in 20ish minutes. You also have a huge range of takeaway options available at the hideaway. Thank you both so much. Everything was just perfect and I’d highly recommend the hideaway.

we stayed here for the weekend and the bell tent was so cosey and welcoming! the views were incredible and the set up had everything we needed to just turn up and enjoy our weekend of calm quality time with a disconnect from the world for a few days. the setting of the location is beautiful and Bridget and Mark have done an amazing job at ensuring everything you could need to have a calm relaxing time has been provided. a clean easy access toilet from the tent, an amazing kitchen for preparing food and cuppas, and the outdoor shower was a quality touch and experience like no other! the views are amazing. the Hosts were very helpful with any needs or questions and provided lots of assistance with walks and places to visit locally. A 5 star weekend for sure! host and accommodation! highly recommend!
