Unique Woods Retreat ~ Quiet place in Nature

Our cabin in the woods is a quiet refuge, built with many unique features: a log cabin room with vaulted ceiling, log walls in kitchenette/upstairs small dinette seating area and log wall in sunroom. Carriage style Barn doors, from grandparents old chicken coop on our property. The gorgeous metal stair railing hand designed & laser cut with pine trees. Downstairs walkout basement has concrete log beams & posts, as well as some concrete tree branches. Trails are for quiet travel only, no motors.

Outdoor Enthusiasts Cabin, Near AuSable River, Mio

Our subdivision is ideally situated among thousands of acres of public land near the beautiful Au Sable River. The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful, and full of nature. Come and enjoy all this beautiful area has to offer, including hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, trail riding, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc. A boat launch for the Au Sable River, an ORV trailhead and DJs Scenic Bar are within a mile of the cabin (in McKinley). Hiking and skiing trails are 10-15 minutes from the cabin.

This beautiful lake front property is a northern Michigan gem. Nestled on the west side of the lake, it provides ample opportunities to take in a sunrise or sunset over the lake. The cottage is set up to sleep four people, with great amenities. Our space offers a work friendly area, indoor fire place, outdoor fire pit, waterfront with two kayaks, deck overlooking the lake. We have 30 acres to walk on, close access to hiking and biking trails and Beaver Lake is a 5 minute drive. The cabin is nearby to all the greater Thunder Bay/Alpena area. Explore Northern Michigan year round! Of note: the 3/4 bathroom is connected to the cabin, but accessed from outside the cabin.

Hubbard Lake R&R

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Large 13 X 40 room with Queen bed, sofa bed, twin fold up bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and dining area. 2.5 miles from the north end park with boat/kayak launch and kids play area. North end also has gas station, stores and taverns. Room to park your boat for a fishing getaway. Bring your outdoor chairs to sit by the fire pit. A charcoal grill is available for your use. Bedding and towels are provided.

Hubbard Lake Hideaway

This Up North getaway is the perfect place to unwind while enjoying what the local area has to offer. Just south of Michigans twelfth largest lake, there’s plenty of outdoor activities within 20 miles to keep you entertained during your stay. A mile drive to White Pine National Golf Course and two miles of the closest boat launch. The variety of restaurants, markets, groceries and gas means there’s no need to travel to the nearest big city.
